This client wanted to reconnect with the fuller, darker brows that once ran in her family. Over the years, aging, over-plucking, and frequent waxing caused parts of her brow hair to stop growing back, resulting in a loss of shape and definition.
The procedure began with a custom brow mapping session, where the shape was carefully designed to complement her brow bone structure, facial features, and natural brow hair color. The goal was for the newly pigmented areas to heal like a soft shadow beneath the existing brow hairs, creating natural-looking fullness and structure.

Because as her mom, and someone who has loved art since I was 3 years old, I know art was never just about colors, shapes or understanding paintings.
Art carried me through some of the hardest moments of my life.
It’s not just something I enjoy.
It’s my passion.
It’s my life.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in fine art painting in Hong Kong.
I made my dream come true of moving to New York and working in the art museum world.
Art gave me the courage to leave everything familiar behind and start my life from scratch in this city where I knew absolutely no one.
It shaped the way I see beauty, emotion, people, and possibility.
And today, it’s still the foundation of the work I do inside my permanent makeup studio here in New York, creating thoughtful, longer-lasting brows that help women feel more confident and more like themselves.
So yes, I bring her to museums.
To expose her to the wonder this city has to offer.
To show her there are infinite ways to think, create, and live.
To let her experience stillness, curiosity, beauty, and emotion before the world tells her who she should or shouldn’t be.
Because life will challenge her one day too.
And I hope art becomes a place she can return to, the same way I did growing up.
Most importantly, I want her to develop the quiet inner strength to trust her own perspective, creativity, and voice from a young age.
