A busy start to Saturday at Beam Laser Spa in NYC 🤎
Our first client today treated:
full legs ✔️
underarms ✔️
forearms ✔️
upper lip & nostrils ✔️
Brazilian ✔️
All in approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
She is a Fitzpatrick Skin Type V, so we treated with the 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength on our Candela GentleMax Pro Plus, using a 24 mm spot size.
Why does spot size matter?
A larger spot size covers more surface area with each pulse, which can make a meaningful difference when treating larger areas like full legs.
The GentleMax Pro Plus gives us the flexibility to work with spot sizes up to 26 mm and adjust treatment parameters for the individual client, area and hair characteristics.
Treatment time still varies - body frame, areas treated, hair density and a client’s comfort threshold all play a role.
Today’s client happens to be quite petite and tolerates the treatment really well- which helped us cover this many areas in about 75 minutes.
The goal isn’t to rush a treatment.
It’s to work thoroughly and efficiently with the right technology.
