Multiple mayors in southern Lebanon say they received direct calls from the Israeli army demanding they remove displaced families from their towns including requests to identify who was being sheltered. One mayor described being told his town needed to be “cleaned up within 24 hours.” At the same time, entire مناطق are being cleared, with Israel stating displaced populations will not be allowed to return until its military objectives are met.
