In one month, I will be celebrating 10 years in business 🍾 What an absolute honor. But also a reminder that results like this didn’t come over night. They came with practice, experience, a s**t ton of effort and an insatiable need to learn more and be better.

My client has been through the freaking ringer with this Lip Blush 😩

She got them done a few years ago and obviously and was super unhappy with the results. The lips were overlined (this is why we never go outside the shape), leaving them very bold in some areas, patchy in others, and completely messing up her natural shape.

The worst part is that she couldn’t find any laser company that was willing to remove this ink.

By the time she contacted us, she was desperate for any solution and was hoping I would be able to do saline removal.

A little back story – I don’t do saline removal anymore 🙈I use to do saline removal but ultimately decided to stop offering it outside of Emergency Removals (removals of botched work within 48 hours of the procedure). It was a slow process, took many sessions for results and tbh, I felt that laser removal was a much better solution.

But in this situation, it didn’t seem that laser was an option. After thoroughly explaining saline removal, she seemed completely on board with the time it would take so we decided to give it a shot.

Now, IMAGINE OUR SHOCK when she came back 1 month after ONLY ONE SESSION, with these results 🤩

We were GEEKIN. I genuinely don’t know who was more excited 😂 Anyhoos. We’re going to do one more session in about a month to lighten the remaining spots and hoping that is all she will need!

TLDR: Do your research, all artists aren’t the same, never go outside th lip border and removal can be a lengthy process but is always worth it.

I’m Paula, the Owner and Artist of Runway Brows and – fun fact – Playa del Carmen is in my top 3 places in the world 🌎

This year will be my 10th year in business 🙌🏼 Saying I’m grateful is an understatement.

As we know, all artists have a different approach to their work and I wanted to share some of the core beliefs that have shaped my brow work and have gotten me through 10 years of cosmetic tattooing!

1. Longevity is the PRIORITY ✨ Th way a tattoo ages literally shapes every aspect of our service – from shape and color, to ink formula and touch up frequency. If it’s something that will be a problem in 5 years, I won’t do it.

2. Client education is key to successful outcomes 🔑 There are so many limitations to what we can do and it’s important that you are aware of all of them. I want my clients to know beyond the marketing gimmicks. I want them to be aware of the good and bad aspects of cosmetic tattoos before pulling the trigger. This is why I will always have free consultations as a part of our booking process! It also gives us a chance to feel each other out a bit and make sure that your goals and my style align.

3. Less will always be more! We are in a time where we are always chasing more - more filler, Botox, longer hair extensions, fuller lash extensions, filtered skin … you get my point. Brows are the same. Our goal is not to replace your makeup, it’s to create a soft natural brow that you will never regret.
