Seven Seed Soap Company

Who doesn’t need a bucket or two? We just dropped off some of our heavy duty 5 gallon buckets at Styers Family Feed & Supply, LLC

Stop by and get one or two! Great farm supply store too! Knowledgable, family owned and great customer service.

Help! 🆘
Making new names for scents is sometimes fun, sometimes not.

1. Root & Vine
2. Harvest Moon

Which sounds better for a new candle/spray (maybe soap)? Heavy on patchouli, vanilla, nutmeg, pepper. Earthy, slightly sweet and hints of subtle spice. This could be a great scent for late summer through late winter, so potentially seasonally made.

Add your ideas! Thank you! Jennifer

🌹 Imagine each treasured person in your life is a flower that you've been graciously given to create a bouquet uniquely yours. Now, imagine an original piece of artwork that represents all those loved ones. Each flower is chosen based on the person's birth month and is beautifully rendered in ink and watercolor on real wood.

Give a gift this year that celebrates family, life and beauty. Or give a special gift celebrating the lives of those who are missed.

Jennifer is accepting commissions for these customized Family Flower Portraits, just in time for the gift-giving season. Opportunities are limited so be sure to go to her art page, Seven Seed Studio and send a DM for more details.

HICKORY, N.C. - The Historical Association of Catawba County will welcome acclaimed storyteller, songwriter and visual artist Michael Reno Harrell to Harper House on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Harrell will present "Blue Ridge Tales & Tunes - Homespun Humor & Heart," an evening of original stories and songs filled with laughter, warmth and nostalgia.
Harrell's natural gift for storytelling comes directly from his Southern Appalachian roots, where stories are as deeply woven into the culture as music. His songs and stories flow together in narratives that reveal the emotions and experiences people share - and the way a good laugh or a touch of nostalgia can bring an audience together.
His creative work reflects both the Southern experience and America's larger story. Whether expressed through a song, a tale or a work of art, it all comes down to one thing: story.
The program is part of HACC's membership event series and offers guests a special opportunity to experience live Appalachian storytelling in the historic setting of Harper House. Admission is free for HACC members and $10 for non-members.
Seating is limited and reservations are required. To reserve a place, call HACC at 828-465-0383. Harper House is located at 310 North Center Street in Hickory.
The Historical Association of Catawba County preserves and shares the county's history through the Museum of History in Newton, Harper House and Hickory History Center, Murray's Mill and Bunker Hill Covered Bridge.
