RESISTANT STARCH ⬇️
SCFA (short chain fatty acids)⬇️
GLP 1 (glucose like peptide)‼️
What are they & what do these all have in common?
Naturally, our bodies biochemistry produces GLP-1 in smaller doses than a prescription drug like Ozempic; but without the uncomfortable side effects.
Resistant starch:
carbohydrates that RESIST digestion in the small intestines, acting as fiber to feed the good gut bacteria.
Examples:
Green unripened bananas 🍌
Beans/lentils 🫘
Cooked/cooled: rice, potatoes, pasta🍠🥔
Eating these resistant starches create SCFAs (short chain fatty acids) BUTYRATE, acetate & propionate. These SCFA, especially butyrate act as signaling molecules that’s stimulate enteroendocrine L cells to release gut hormones, which includes GLP1 & PPY (peptide YY or pancreatic peptide YY)
➡️ Butyrate signals the release of GLP 1, which controls our satiety hormone LEPTIN, our hunger control system. (🛑 stop I’m satisfied )
Starting with your plate is an easy way to naturally control hunger & lose any extra weight.
P.S. The BONUS with cooking/cooling potatoes, rice, pasta before eating is a lower glucose hit, keeping our A1C in check. ✅

INJURIES
INFLAMMATION (arthritis)
MUSCLE TENSION from Stress/exercise
💥oh my!
Well, don’t give in to it, or up from it ~
Our bodies need to move & adapt to stress at every turn. So we need more creative ways to release the beast of discomfort. Chronic & acute.
CUPPING Therapy is an effective, quick tool for fast relief!
Most people think of bruising…that “cup kiss” mark left behind after an intense session. Yes, it CAN happen, but doesn’t have to.
Cupping techniques are many. Here’s the main two moves that create the negative pressure, drawing blood & lymph to the area for healing & release by using NEGATIVE PRESSURE: this vacuum effect increases localized blood circulation, mobilizes tissue, breaks up adhesions, and stimulates the peripheral nervous system.
STATIC ~
leaving cup/s suctioned in place for 5-10mins. This is great for deep muscle knots & trigger points. This one is known for leaving that cup kiss, as you may have seen on athletes.
DYNAMIC ~
this is a light suctioning where you move/glide the cup over the skin. Both are good for circulation; this dynamic is best for lymph flow, edema, muscle tension & improving range of motion.
or BOTH in one session!

What’s your gut saying?🤔
“Dysbiosis is linked with many long-term conditions including irritable bowel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and anxiety and depression.”
“The billions of bacteria that make up our gut microbiome represent around 4,600 different species. The composition is different in all of us, but the function is the same: to keep our body running smoothly.”
‘Hidden’ bugs in our gut appear key to good health, finds global study An understudied group of bacteria in our gut microbiome appears to play a central role in keeping us healthy, according to researchers at the University of

“When an injury or illness is detected, the brain responds by activating the immune system. A heart attack triggers a similar immune response. But while the brain considers a heart attack an injury, there are no pathogens or bacteria to defend against. This overactivation of the immune system likely worsens the damage.”
New Research Connects Heart Attacks to Brain, Nervous and Immune Systems UC San Diego scientists have uncovered a transformative new understanding of heart attacks. The research, which connects the heart, brain and nervous and immune systems, shows that blocking key signals can lead to new treatments for heart attacks and minimize their resulting damage.

NEW Study:
“Brain areas affected by the drugs control reward and wakefulness, not attention, study shows”
