This client changed the way I approach texture…💖

This post is very special to me because after 5 years behind the chair, one of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that being a specialist doesn’t mean every client should receive the same service.🩷🧡🩷

Sometimes, being a specialist means knowing when to pivot, why to pivot, and how to create a plan that truly serves the person sitting in your chair.💫

Brianna reminded me that every head of textured hair comes with different experiences, goals, and levels of trust. My job wasn’t to convince her to fit my method—it was to create a plan that fit *her*.🩷🧡🧡

Over the last two years, this experience has changed the way I approach textured hair. It reminded me that true expertise isn’t about doing the same thing every time—it’s about listening, adapting, and building trust.

❌It’s not anti-curly cut.
❌It’s not pro-silk press.
✨It’s pro-critical thinking.
