If you do want better results, here’s where to start before your first Brazilian. 🤎

1. Give your hair time to grow.
Allow at least 2–3 weeks without shaving and aim for about ¼ inch of hair. Some people need longer. Your hairs grow in different cycles, so they don’t all reach the surface or the same length together. Giving them time helps more hairs reach a length the wax can grip, so we can catch as many waxable hairs as possible at your first visit. Hairs that are still too short or beneath the skin won’t be removed yet. Ask us before shaving or trimming.

2. Pause exfoliating acids on the area about five days before.
We ask you to take this break because these products can leave skin more sensitive to waxing. Contact us before your appointment for specific guidance if you are unsure about the products you are using.

3. Gently exfoliate 24–48 hours before.
This helps remove surface dead skin buildup so the wax can grip the hair more effectively. Use gentle, non-acid exfoliation on the outer, hair-bearing skin only. Skip harsh scrubbing, and skip exfoliation if your skin is irritated.

4. Keep moisturizing simple.
In the days leading up to your visit, use a lightweight moisturizer suitable for the area that your skin already tolerates. Skip heavy oils and lotions right before your appointment. Don’t have a moisturizer? Skip it and we will get you on a routine at your appointment.

Don’t have a skin-care routine yet? You don’t need to figure it all out alone. We’ll walk you through prep and aftercare in the studio and send you home with clear instructions.

Our goal isn’t to drag out your appointment and give you more time to think about every single strip. We work quickly and efficiently because we know the less time you spend anticipating the next pull, the better.

That doesn’t mean we’re rushing your service or sacrificing quality. It means we know what we’re doing, and we’re getting you through it as comfortably and efficiently as possible.

We’re looking for our next waxer. Could it be you?

We’re looking for someone who genuinely loves this industry. Someone who loves their clients, loves making their day a little better, takes pride in a clean studio, brings good energy to work, and wants absolutely nothing to do with workplace drama.

This is a growth driven position, which means we’re starting super part time for now. But The Blushing Cow is growing VERY rapidly, and as your clientele grows with us, this position has the potential to grow into 25 to 30 hours per week.

You don’t need to have it all figured out. But you do need to be passionate, dependable, self motivated, willing to learn, and excited about growing with a studio that is growing right alongside you.
