Our factory is a farm.

I love driving down the road to our farm. Breathing in all the life — sky, clouds, sun, light air and the thriving landscape here is the best morning elixir to start my day. It helps me feel awake and balanced!

We just planted a slew of baby dandelion and now it’s 95 degrees. Even though dandelion is incredibly resilient, we need to be mindful to encourage the roots to establish.

The phytochemistry of dandelion roots and leaves is remarkable. It is a living reservoir of thousands of naturally occurring constituents, each contributing to its distinctive aromatic profile and skin-identical botanical lipids—its chemistry refined through evolution.

It’s Saturday morning and we harvest! . Sunday morning we’re at the Ojai Farmers Market with our freshly distilled fragrances and more..

I’ll be talking more about our process but today here’s a little snippet. We have about 300 roses across two heirloom varieties—picked at first light and carried straight to the still. Being among these majestic flowers is an incredible joy with all the sounds of nature as a soundtrack.

The journey from flower to bottle begins within hours, preserving the living aromatic profile of the fresh bloom before it has a chance to fade. These roses are very aromatic. About 5 out of 5.

I’ll be sharing more about our roses, why we grow two distinct varieties, and the distillation process in the weeks ahead.
