Your Support Needed: Peace Initiative for Gaza

Dear Valued Client,

I hope this finds you well. As your barber and a concerned citizen, I'm compelled to address the dire situation in Gaza. It's a matter close to my heart, prompting me to seek your help in advocating for a ceasefire resolution through the Ojai City Council.

Every voice counts, and together, we can make a difference. Your involvement, be it spreading the word or supporting the resolution, is crucial.

Your urgent and heartfelt attention is requested to support our bilateral Ojai Ceasefire Resolution, we have been working on, tirelessly for months, to pass. Our request is simple; there are three options:

1) please send in a statement by Monday Feb. 26 at 3 PM to the Mayor and Council members supporting the Ojai Ceasefire Resolution. E-mail city council members . Please include in the “subject” wording that clearly supports the ceasefire resolution.

2) show up in person Monday, March 26 at 6 PM to give a 2-minute testimony (Kent Hall 111 W. Santa Ana St, Ojai CA.) Many comrades will be there to support you!

3) attend the meeting by Zoom.

If you are from out of town, you might mention that you saw an article about the issue in the LA Times, along with anything personal you want to say.

Some talking points you may want to include:

1) Urgency needed due to an imminent, full-scale Israeli offensive in Rafah risking exponential casualties
2) Families of Israeli hostages have been demanding a ceasefire
3) The war is perpetuating the spread of antisemitism and Islamophobia
4) 61% of Americans favor a ceasefire
5) Israel has been determined to be committing “plausible genocide” by the ICJ
6) UN member countries all voted for a ceasefire, EXCEPT the USA (and abstaining UK), so this is a message to our government to stand up for what’s right
