“Extensions ruin your natural hair” but do they really?

While extensions can be damaging to your natural hair if not done correctly, that doesn’t have to be your reality!

Slide one is after a full foil and 2 row move up.
Slide two is from December 2024. So much more body and thickness all throughout, and honestly probably the most she’s had in her life. Her ends finally filled out, so she could focus on growing the length of her hair now that all of her growth caught up to her ends.
Slide three is from November 2023 before a move up. Her hair was looking a little limp and lifeless, the biggest difference at this point was how much thicker her hair was getting at her roots. Her hair was growing, and even though a trim was needed, we were both excited because fine hair can be hard to grow due to it being more fragile.

Having extensions gave her hair the break it needed. They took the brunt of the hot tools, she no longer felt the need to highlight her hair at every appointment because her hair still felt bright with the extra length. It took time and patience, but her hair is completely transformed for the better from having extensions.

Wet hair can be SO deceiving!! There’s no worse feeling than getting your hair done, getting back to the chair after the shampoo, to then be worried because it doesn’t look like the color will be much different than what you came in with. To ease any worries and give some peace of mind, I always begin my blowouts around the face to give you a sneak peak of what it will all look like once fully dried 🫶🏻
