What is your favorite file? I love the nano file for most everything. My nails are thin and demand to be treated like delicate princess (I borrowed that phrase from Donna B. Thank you, Donna!) Sometimes I do like a really thin regular file. Is your file the best for your nails?

Question Of The Day. Introvert or Extrovert?
I am an introvert that talks a lot. 😂. I have a very hard time making the first move, I feel uncomfortable in new place’s and often feel uncomfortable with people I don’t know. How about you?

Not only do nails not need to take a break from polish, but taking a break can lead to a break. Polish supports the nail, like wearing a brace on a wrist. My nails break very easily and when they are naked is because I’m doing a warm oil soak.

The Nail Matrix Part 4, and final part.

“Melanocytes: Melanocytes are pigment-producing cells found in the nail matrix. Usually, nails are translucent. However, melanocytes can produce melanin, particularly in darker-skinned individuals. Melanocytes can sometimes result in naturally pigmented streaks in the nail plate.”

So to sum up, The nail matrix “is composed of different types of cells and other components that create its structure. These include” Keratinocytes, Stem Cells, and Melanocytes.

“Here is an except from my newest book, Advanced Chemistry of Nails. Many marketers use this term to fool people, so I want you to be aware of what this term actually means. Please share this info so that others are not deceived.

Hypoallergenic

This term is often believed to mean that a product will not cause skin allergies, but that is not correct. This term is not strictly regulated and does not guarantee safety for all users.

“Hypo” means less than, and not “never.” It does not mean the product is completely free of allergens or guaranteed to prevent allergic reactions. It simply indicates that the formulation is less likely to cause skin allergies than other similar products.

However, it is important to note that the term is not strictly regulated, meaning manufacturers are not required to provide scientific evidence or standardized testing to prove that their products are truly hypoallergenic.

It could just be their opinion and not based on evidence-based testing. For example, nail coating products that claim to be hypoallergenic can still cause skin allergies, especially in sensitive people or if applied to the skin or over exposed nail bed tissue.

When you see this term, ask why they believe this is true and what testing has been done to confirm this is true. If you don’t get a convincing answer explained in everyday language- be very skeptical. See Chapter 14 for other useful questions you can ask to uncover the facts.“

Question of the Day. Ice Cream or Cake? I say both. If I had to pick just one, I would choose Ice Cream. My favorite flavor of either is something very chocolatey with more chocolate in it. 😁😂😂 Which is your favorite, Ice Cream or Cake and what is your favorite flavor?

I found it sometimes difficult to move slowly, but I have also find it very effective if I mindfully move my hands slowly. What is one way you have broken a nail that you might not have if you had moved slowly? Mine reaching for the car door and the dryer door. Those are nail breaking hazards for me if I don’t get a good grip and don’t pay attention to how I am holding the handle.
