Not all chemical peels are created equal, especially when treating melanin-rich skin!
Today, I’m ranking the chemical peels in my treatment room from my most favorite to least favorite.
As a corrective skincare specialist, my goal isn’t to make your skin peel the most. It’s to get results without causing unnecessary inflammation or making hyperpigmentation worse.
Just because a peel is stronger doesn’t mean it’s better. The right peel depends on your skin concerns, skin barrier, and overall skin health.
Remember, we’re trying to correct the pigmentation, not create more of it!
Which chemical peel have you tried?

Reviews like this are why I do what I do 🤍 Jasmine has trusted me with her skin for over a year, and every visit is a little reset. If you’ve been holding off on that facial… this is your sign. Now booking corrective facials and acne treatments in Torrance. Link in bio ✨
If you’ve tried every product and your skin still isn’t changing, it’s not you. It’s the lack of a plan. 🤍
This is a check-in from my 12-week virtual corrective skin program. We look at what your skin is actually doing, adjust as it changes, and work through acne, dark spots, and texture together.
No guessing. No random products. Just a plan built for *your* skin, with me in your corner the whole way.
I only take a limited number of clients so each one gets real attention. Ready to finally see a change? Tap the link in my bio. ✨
Okay, but on a serious note, Happy esthetician day 🫶🏽

3 facials + 1 Pigment Lift Peel later, and we’re seeing progress!
Let’s talk about MELASMA.
Melasma isn’t your typical hyperpigmentation, and it’s definitely not something we can simply peel away.
It’s a chronic skin condition that can be influenced by hormones, sun exposure, heat, and genetics. This means treating it requires patience, consistency, and a plan that goes beyond professional treatments.
Here’s what my client’s treatment plan included:
3 Customized Facials: Focused on maintaining a healthy skin barrier, improving hydration, and addressing uneven skin tone.
1 Pigment Lift Peel: To help improve the appearance of stubborn pigmentation.
Hydroquinone: Used as part of her home-care regimen to help reduce excess pigment production.
Consistent Home Care & Sun Protection: Because what you do outside of the treatment room matters just as much as what we do inside.
And here’s something I want you to understand. Melasma can improve, but it can also return. That’s why managing triggers and maintaining your results are so important.
We’re making progress, but we’re not done yet!
My approach has always been simple: Treat the problem, not just the symptoms.
If you’ve been struggling with stubborn pigmentation and don’t know where to start, I’d love to help you better understand your skin.

Results vary. Hydroquinone should be used under appropriate medical supervision.
Between work, kids, and everything else on your plate, I know how easy it is to put yourself last. But when was the last time you made time for YOU? 🤍
Those clogged pores, stubborn breakouts, and uneven texture aren’t going to fix themselves.
You deserve more than a rushed skincare routine at the end of a long day.

Your dark spots keep coming back, and you can’t figure out why? 👀
Here’s the thing. You can use all the brightening serums, exfoliants, and dark spot correctors you want, but if you’re not addressing what’s triggering the pigmentation in the first place, you’re going to keep dealing with the same problem.
Acne, inflammation, sun exposure, and even the wrong skincare products can contribute to stubborn hyperpigmentation.
And sometimes, the products you’re using to fade those spots are actually making things worse.
That’s why I always say, we treat the problem, not just the symptoms.
Your skin needs more than another product recommendation. It needs a plan that makes sense for YOUR skin.
