And, to Amber's great relief.... Seance body washes are back in stock. Yes, the glowing goop that keeps you clean enough to talk to spirits is back for the two seconds it takes to sell out again. (seriously they go fast. If you want one I'd do it quickly.)

Seance was a collaborative project between myself and my dear friend who was kind enough to deep dive with me into scents used in Victorian seances. Which is what it is. It's a blend of various elemental scents (water, wood, etc) and lilac, because lilac was specifically thought to attract friendly spirits.

Also, rather obviously, it glows in the dark, and that's always a plus. Yes, it will glow in your bathroom. (guess how I know?)

Im still dealing with all the October Country stuff so it's a WIP day today! The box tops took, shall we say, EXTENSIVE work to get them to become a thing (it took me about 8 hours to get a working box top. If you want to see how bad it got, check the other two photos. I went through like six sheets of card stock before I got a design that mostly worked.

To be clear the original design was great but not at that scale. If it were something like 6" around, it would have cut perfectly, but trying to do the same thing in under 3". not so much. I eventually had to simplify the box top A LOT (a lot, a lot) in order to get it to cut in a reasonable fashion.

In the end I just made 9 of them at once figuring that I wouldnt be wasting a bunch of expensive cardstock by hoping each individual box printed correctly. Now I can just make the plain 3" boxes and use one of these tops. (the one that's already been used was the one for the poster.)

So always remember kids, scale matters.

October Country is *FINALLY* here.

It began 3 years ago (seriously!) when I had a talk with Anka McGowan of and FINALLY, it's available for everyone to enjoy. The road here was... a bit twisted. So let's get into the details of this.

These soaps are made from a sculpted master. It is not 3d printed. It was hand sculpted by me in a BIG hurry when I learned that printing wasn't going to happen in anything resembling a timely way. Each bar is extensively hand painted and unique (they do take a long time to paint.) The orange background glows in the dark with an eerie yellow green (it's a weird color.)

Each bar is scented with an autumn blend of plum, blood orange, jasmine, patchouli, cinnamon, cedar, palo santo, and mahogany. Finally, each box is hand made and unique (the colors around the edges might vary) and sealed with a hand painted seal.

This is the first truly new thing (as opposed to just a new product type) Ive made in at least 18 months. They'll be available until the end of November.

If you were part of the Patreon preorder, expect invoices tonight/tomorrow. But theyre available for everyone now. Please know that each batch takes about a week - DO NOT back these up against a gift giving occasion this year, please. Next year will be fine for that but these are coming out 10 days later than I'd planned as it is.

Story time:
I had an order on a timer, because it was a gift. It HAD TO go out today. I needed to restock a bunch of stuff for it and the last thing got trapped behind my working on the new release - I couldnt move all those colors off my work table until I was finished with them.

Long story short, I wind up being awake a LONG time to make sure the order goes out TODAY. Im packing the order, and realize that past me had been smart! Past me had already boxed up one of the soap bars! Awesome. I box up the others and put them in the package. Normally, I go to bed no later than 8am. (anywhere between 6am and 8am). Today? I wasn't in bed until 11:51 am.

Did the package go to the post office? Yes. Yes it did.

I go to sleep, wake up 5 hours later, and stumble into the living room, half awake. I look around the room in soft focus, when suddenly my eyes SNAP into focus on something on the coffee table.

"What.... is...THAT?"

What it was, gothlets, was the boxed bar of soap that past me had smartly packaged in advance. I grabbed it and then forgot to put it in the package.

I was out of the house in 15 minutes, RACING to the local UPS pickup.

So now, both packages are out of here, I needed to take a freaking inderal, and I want to sleep for a week. In related news, Im in the middle of a Sirens & Satellites restock.

The NEW RELEASE is actually ready but I need to put up an order page and make the fancy box for posters. it will be out tomorrow night.

I realize this photo is a bit more mysterious than usual. I have spent my day covered in mica. Due to deadlines, I have 3 heavy painting things happening in one shot - the new release, Sirens & Satellites, and the minis for Under Your Skin. I spent all of last night dipping teeny brushes into mica and alcohol and will be doing it all night again tonight.

But I am determined to show something new tomorrow so a night spent painting it is. (sorry, I dont want to show it until it's ready.) Soon.

Behold the brand new, slightly imperfect but perfect anyway, shampoo bar design for Seance. Also, Seance shampoo bars are in stock, by the way. This was made possible by finally (finally, this took years) getting a print for it. (they arent perfect- the numbers and good bye are a little small and didnt mold very well, but I just do the hand work to make it workable, it's fine.) ANYWAY, just like everything else Seance they glow in the dark, and if Seance is your favorite thing ever (looks at Amber) now you know.

What's going on currently: Working on Sirens & Satellites (next week's reel) , Under Your Skin minis, and wrapping up these shampoo bars and Seance shave soaps (which are also in stock by the way - when I say I was OUT of all the Seance bar soap I really mean it.)

I will be making Seance body wash on Saturday (Im out of glow powder, more will appear on Saturday.) Also, I'll be working on Patreon loot bags, etc.

On deck: Under Your Skin minis and shampoo bars, a long overdue restock of Lady Business, restocking Intoxicata, and getting that new release out that should have been out a week ago. (Im trapped behind an order that MUST go out on Saturday so I can't switch to it until the order is packed.)

In any case, there's Seance in stock, go get some.

Another process day, goths & ghouls. Currently in the middle of restocking Under Your Skin (expect a reel on that at some point tomorrow) and about to build the mold frame for the new seance shampoo bar design (thank you ) I expect to get that poured tonight as well so I can make Seance shampoo bars and then shave soaps (I really was out of everything) followed by some body wash so Amber can stop staring at me like that.

Coming up later this week, a much needed restock for Sirens & Satellites, Lady Business, and Intoxicata as well as (I hope) this BRAND NEW THING that I need to make room on my work table to actually finish. (the hold up is the lack of space.)

one of the things Ive been doing now that Eain (my hero) is making prints again is trying to catch up on shave soap and shampoo bar sized prints on things that really need discrete molds (like I can't just adapt the regular design to make it work.)

To that end, here's the 3d prints for the Call to Glory shave soap and shampoo bars. All I have to do is mold these up and they will be exactly the right size and proportion for those bars.

A lot of shipping going on this week for sure. Also, finishing up the restock of Seance (I was OUT out, so there's a lot going on there.) Under Your Skin (expect a reel midweek) and Sirens & Satellites. Starting this weekend I'll be working on Lady Business stuff that desperately needs a restock anyway, and Intoxicata.
