📌 Upcoming Events: Walk for Peace in California — July 12–14, 2026
We are delighted to share that Most Venerable Ratanaguna, Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra and Venerable Silarnanda will be visiting California for a series of meaningful gatherings, bringing the spirit of mindfulness, peace, and loving-kindness to local communities.

📍 Sunday, July 12, 2026: Honorary Homage & Dhammacetiya Project Offering
Location: Azusa Myanmar Monastery
Address: 1830 Ranch Rd, Azusa, CA 91702
9:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Ceremony to honor the Walk for Peace venerable monks and ceremonial offerings to the Dhammacetiya Project.
11:00 AM: Lunch meal offering to the Sangha.
1:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Afternoon gathering — all devotees and guests are warmly invited.

📍 Monday, July 13, 2026: Peace Sharing Talk & Gathering

6:30 PM: Peace Sharing Talk by Venerable Bhikkhu Paññākāra, followed by a Q&A session about the Walk for Peace journey.
7:15 PM – 8:30 PM: Devotees and visitors receive blessings from the venerable monks.

We’re living in a society that teaches us to measure our worth based on productivity, appearance, and achievement. Of course, for many of us, our confidence feels unstable if we internalize those messages.
THE GOOD NEWS--> both modern psychology and wisdom traditions point us to a reframe:
Self-worth isn’t something you achieve—it’s something you practice.
Self-worth grows from:
CONNECTING TO & UNDERSTANDING OUR INNER (Buddha) NATURE
Self-worth requires radical acceptance & IT REJECTS PERFECTIONISM.
Self-worth breathes the air of ALIGNMENT & INTEGRITY.
It blooms when our actions align with our values.
Developing self-worth requires us to meet ourselves at a deeper level to know what feels RIGHT for us and then to enact those behaviors, ways, etc. The more we KNOW who we are, the more SOLID our foundation becomes.
Expect to:

– and practice a 3-step grounded way to build confidence from within

Everything we access from stored memory is influenced by the present moment. For example if we feel angry while recalling a sad memory, its likely to amplify the power the past memory has over us. Just as we can breathe life into joy and grattitude, we can somwtimes even deepen our pain by recalling memories and further activating and even amplifying its emotional charge. One way to turn it down is through hypnosis. Hypnosis can be a safe way to revisit memory without the activation a traumatic event often brings in talk therapy.
