Slow and steady wins the race!! This color correction was all about bringing her color back to the vision she originally wanted - soft ribbons of brightness, lots of dimension, and thin, subtle money piece.

Rather than recreating the inspo photo she show me exactly (a heavy balayage) we took the elements that she loved and customized them to her hair and starting point.

I went with Jioco 6NA for the root + lowlight to create deeper dimensional base, then used igora lightener for the blonde. To finish I toned with LumiShine Demi Gloss - 7NW + 8G soft, warm, creamy finish that kept the blonde from feeling too stark 🤎

The result: soft contrast, seamless ribbons of brightness, and dimension that still feels natural.✨

Sometimes color correction isn’t about making their hair exactly like the inspiration - it’s about understanding what the client loved about the inspiration and translating that into something that works for their hair. 🫶🏼

We kept her color rich and dimensional while blending away that harsh line of demarcation for a softer, more natural grow out. One of her biggest concerns was all the little grey hairs sticking up and looking frizzy — which actually happens because grey hair tends to become more coarse, dry, and prone to breakage over time.

By adding dimension back into the hair and focusing on moisture + healthy maintenance, we were able to help smooth everything out the as much as possible while creating a softer, more blended look overall ✨
