Gaby! Gaby has been coming since the early days. I remember her doing class packs for a while before she joined as a member. She is always fun to have in class and in the studio in general. Good vibes, that one. She had to take a bit of a hiatus, but she's back and we're so happy about it!

"Monument Pilates is a new studio here in Pflugerville. The space is welcoming and beautiful. The instructors are incredibly attentive and take the time to correct form, offer modifications, and make sure everyone feels comfortable and supported. You will leave each class feeling both stronger and more energized."

Meet the Member! Iliana! What a gem of a human. We've read her review of us before and you've heard how we feel about her. But it's all true. She is so sweet and kind and loves herself some Pilates. It's been so amazing to see her progress not just with Pilates but also with her body feeling better this past year. We are so grateful we get to see her as much as we do. Thank you for choosing us to do Pilates with and introducing us and Pilates to your sweet Mom!

Footwork can be done in so many place. We know it is super common to be done on the Reformer. But it can also be done on the mat as an ab series, standing on the mat and on the push thru bar of the Tower or Cadillac. But the Chair. The Chair says, "Oh footwork, hold my b**r." The having to hold yourself upright against force really changes this exercise for me. I love how strong my legs feel during and after. I love that you can play with the spine shape. You can do it with a fully long spine, but you can also try it with a bit of a rounded spine. Rolling like a ball and stomach massage anyone? I also love the aspect of how the pedal moves. I'm not just pressing out on something, like I would do with the reformer. The pedal has an arc, so there is this sense of out and down. Gimme some Chair footwork.

Mic Drop Baby. Siobhan has been coming to the studio since the beginning. We've seen her through her pregnancy and now postpartum. Even now she always shows up ready to focus and move her body. She may just be a bit more tired now than before.

"I love this studio! The owners, Maggie and Andrew, have created such a beautiful, welcoming space. The instructors are very knowledgeable and give detailed feedback and corrections as needed, and the variety of classes available with the apparatuses is broad. Don’t worry if you’ve never taken a Pilates class before, or even if you’ve never used a tower or chair in one - they will give you plenty of help to get you moving well. Highly recommend this studio to any level of Pilates student."

Fix. Correct. These were words I used all the time when I first started teaching. They were words I grew up with in the dance world as well. I still find myself having a hard time adjusting the way I speak about teaching Pilates and helping students and clients find a different position, tempo or intention.

Guide, adjust, refine. As I continue to teach focusing on the little details can make such a big change. At Monument you will find teachers that want to help you get the most out of every exercise. Sometimes that means we let you move through it, getting a little messy, but we can see that you're trying to figure it out. Sometimes that means we step in, sometimes with our hands but sometimes just with presence and words. Try this, what if you did x.

We are here to guide you, to adjust movements and positions, to refine the specifics. Sometimes these things take a while to become second nature. Don't worry if sometimes you struggle. We will encourage you to do hard things. And! Good things take time. We're not in a rush.

EMILY! Meet our member! We love Emily. She came in on Day 2 of business last year. And on her birthday. She has her favorite reformer and we love her for that. She is consistent, always showing up 3 times a week. Rarely do you see a late cancel from this one. She's got the best tats, and a love for our grip socks with a little profanity. From one sailor mouth to another, I appreciate that. She's an ass kicker. I can tell. Emily! We are lucky to have you as a member of Monument!

Today is that day. We opened our doors and taught our first classes on September, 1st 2025. One year ago today. And in true Andrew fashion, we've got a shirt to mark the date. The front is simple. 1. The back, you will find all the people who joined us this past year AND made it through our one year anniversary. All of the teachers and how many classes were taught, over 2000 by the way. Again, Monument Teachers and Monument Members I can not thank you enough for putting your trust in us. There would be no Monument Pilates without all of y'all. Check it out at wearmonument.com There are many styles and colors to choose from!

I can't believe it. We opened our doors on September 1st of 2025. As we approach this year mark I feel nothing but gratitude (maybe a tiny but of tiredness too :) ! Andrew and I have had a blast slowly building Monument. I couldn't be more thankful to all our amazing teachers. We would have no classes if it weren't for them giving it their all every time they walk through those doors. I am constantly in awe of their dedication. And obviously you all. Monument Members. Without you there would be no Monument. We would have no where to teach and no studio to run. I am eternally grateful for all that you give us.

Tower Week 8! It's still hotter than you know where and Andrew thought one more "summer" shirt would suffice. What's more summer than camping. When you think camping, you think of Smokey the Bear, if you're of a certain age of course. Which Andrew and I are. While I love the tower, I was a bit worried at first about a full dedicated week to it. Would people love it as much as I do? And the answer mostly seems to be yes. As member's come in they get super excited to see the towers out. Some even say its their favorite week. And those who maybe don't love it, its gone before you know it. I love the change it gravity it creates. Springs are at different angles constantly, unlike the reformer where they are always under you. It's a great tool to work on some of those harder exercises like Teaser. I'm a fan obviously and we hope you're enjoying the start of Tower Week!
