With school officially back in session, my schedule is changing a little too.

Black Lotus will now have TWO appointment blocks:

9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
and
4:00 PM – 6:00 PM

That means you can come see me during the day OR grab one of those after-work appointments. 👀

As always, evening appointments tend to go FAST, so if you need that 4–6 PM window, don't wait until the last minute.

Here's a little intro!

Hey girl 💜

So we've already met.

You've been on my table, we've probably talked about life, laughed about something completely random, and I may or may not know a little bit of your business by now. 😂

But I realized… you probably don't know much about ME.

So let me properly introduce myself.

I'm Charnice Barrett, Licensed Esthetician and the woman behind Black Lotus Waxing Loft.

Black Lotus actually started as a natural skincare line back in 2020 — before I ever became your wax girl.

A couple years later, I went to esthetician school while raising two kids as a single mom. I was working overnight, going to school during the day, and there were times I'd literally sleep in my car on my lunch break just to get enough rest to keep going.

It was HARD.

But I knew I was building toward something.

After graduating and becoming licensed in 2022, I worked at a high-end waxing studio and fell in love with waxing.

Eventually, I took everything I'd learned and decided to build something of my own.

And that's how Black Lotus became what you know today. 💜

I wanted to create the kind of waxing experience that didn't feel cold, awkward or intimidating.

I wanted you to be able to walk in, take your pants off 😂, talk to me like we've known each other forever, get a GOOD wax and leave feeling like that girl again.

And somehow, this little business I fought so hard to build led to me being named Philly's Best Waxer in 2025. 🏆

That's still crazy to type.

But the award isn't my favorite part.

You girls are.

Every appointment, referral, review, repost, rebooking and "girl, I sent my friend to you" has helped me build Black Lotus into what it is today.

So even if we've only met once, you're officially part of the Black Lotus story now.

And I just wanted you to know a little more about the woman on the other side of that wax stick. 😂💜
