Tonight’s class reminded me of something I often forget.

Teaching yoga isn’t a one-way experience.

We talk a lot about what students receive from practice, but there is something profoundly healing about being in a room full of people breathing together, moving together, settling together. Nervous systems begin to synchronize. Shoulders soften. Breath deepens. Someone yawns, then another, then another.

What feels like teaching is often co-regulation.

And on some days, the teacher needs it too.

I walked into class carrying the weight of being human. The uncertainty, the tenderness, the things in life that don’t have easy answers. For an hour, none of that needed to be solved. It simply had space to exist.

There is something quietly magical about being in a room where presence is enough. Where breath is enough. Where nobody needs to perform, explain, fix, or figure anything out.

Tonight reminded me why I love this work so much.

Healing doesn’t always happen through insight or transformation. Sometimes it happens because we gather together, breathe together, move together, and remember that we don’t have to carry everything alone.

And tonight, I needed that reminder too. 💙

We are thrilled to announce that Unity Yoga has officially been approved as a Continuing Education Provider through the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors.

This milestone represents years of work at the intersection of yoga, nervous system regulation, recovery, trauma-informed care, and mental health.

Beginning this fall, our 300-Hour Teacher Training will offer continuing education credits for licensed professionals, with additional continuing education opportunities planned for the future.

Whether you’re a yoga teacher, therapist, social worker, counselor, healthcare provider, or simply someone passionate about healing, we believe the future of wellness lies in collaboration between disciplines.

Thank you to our teachers, mentors, trainees, and community members who have helped make this vision possible.

We’re just getting started. 💙

Year One ➡️ Year Six

Seven years ago, we gathered our very first group of teacher trainees. Since then, six cohorts have stepped into the seat of the teacher, each bringing their own gifts, wisdom, courage, and heart to this community.

What continues to amaze us is how much can happen in just a few months. Students arrive wanting to deepen their practice and leave with a stronger voice, greater confidence, lifelong friendships, and a deeper understanding of themselves.

Our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is more than learning how to teach yoga poses. It’s an immersive experience in embodied leadership, trauma-informed teaching, philosophy, anatomy, personal growth, and community.

✨ Led by Anne and Sammy
✨ January – May 2027
✨ Supportive mentorship throughout the entire training
✨ Trauma-informed and therapeutically minded approach
✨ Deep connection, growth, and transformation

We are also offering one scholarship for an individual in recovery who feels called to deepen their healing journey and explore the path of teaching and service through yoga.

Whether you dream of teaching, want to deepen your personal practice, or feel called to something more, this training can meet you where you are.

Applications for our 2027 cohort are now open.

Year Seven feels pretty special. 💙

Spent some time by the river today watching the fish move through the current.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that not everything that demands our attention deserves our attention.

Some things are noise.
Some things are signal.

Sometimes the most important shifts don’t happen when we push harder, solve faster, or make a bigger splash.

Sometimes they happen when we get quiet long enough to see what has been growing all along.

A reminder from the river: clarity doesn’t always arrive with fireworks.

Sometimes it arrives gently, reorganizing things from the inside out.

Not all yoga teacher trainings are created equal.

Our 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is designed for those who are ready to step into the seat of the teacher.

You’ll learn anatomy, philosophy, trauma-informed teaching, nervous system regulation, class design, and the practical skills needed to confidently lead excellent yoga classes.

This is where you learn how to teach.

The 300-Hour is different.

While it’s designed for yoga teachers, clinicians, social workers, therapists, recovery professionals, coaches, and healers, the skills we cultivate aren’t confined to a yoga room.

They’re directly transferable to everyday life.

How do you regulate yourself when someone is in crisis?

How do you stay grounded when emotions are running high?

How do you hold space without fixing?

How do you navigate uncertainty?

How do you lead a room?

How do you build trust?

How do you listen deeply?

How do you remain connected to yourself while being present for someone else?

These are the skills we practice.

Through nervous system regulation, recovery yoga, trauma-informed care, subtle body studies, ethics, ritual, therapeutic class design, and sacred leadership, we develop capacities that show up everywhere: in therapy offices, recovery spaces, classrooms, boardrooms, relationships, parenting, partnerships, and communities.

The 200-Hour teaches you how to teach yoga.

The 300-Hour teaches you how to work skillfully with humans—including yourself.

They know how to be.
