Gentle alternating taps across the chest paired with slow, mindful breaths. It’s a simple way to soothe the nervous system and remind the body that it is safe.

Self -Soothing Tip of the Day ✨

One of my favorite nervous system regulation tools is the Physiological Sigh 😮‍💨

👃Take a deep inhale through the nose

👃Take a second shorter inhale through the nose to fully expand the lungs🫁

😮‍💨Slowly release a long, gentle sigh through the mouth

Repeat 1–3 times and notice what shifts within.

I love a good sigh!!

Anyone who knows me knows I’ve been doing this for years, even before I understood the science behind it. 🤷‍♀️

Sometimes the simplest practices can create the greatest sense of ease 🫶🏽

Breath of Joy is one of my all time Fav Breath techniques!!!

It’s an energizing breathwork practice that combines movement and breath to help awaken the body, release stress, and shift stagnant energy. 😮‍💨🧘🏾‍♀️🫁🧘🏼‍♂️

🌟To practice, begin standing comfortably with a soft bend in the knees.
🌟Take a short inhale as you sweep the arms forward in front of you.
🌟Take another inhale as the arms open out to the sides.
🌟Then take a third inhale as the arms lift overhead.

🌟full exhale through the mouth, gently fold forward, releasing the arms down toward the earth.

Slowly rise back up and repeat for several rounds, allowing the breath and movement to flow together naturally.

This practice can help boost energy, increase oxygen flow, regulate the nervous system, elevate mood, and create a sense of emotional release, clarity, and lightness within the body and mind. 💃🫶🏽

Saturday Soothing Technique✨

Mind Chatter?

Sometimes the body becomes overstimulated, overwhelmed, and simply craving calm.

One of my favorite techniques to soothe the nervous system is Bee Breath.

I love this practice because it’s one of the quickest ways for me to clear my mind from the chatter and reconnect back to myself.

The soft humming vibration or buzzing helps calm stress and anxiety while bringing me back into the present moment.

Bee Breath, also known as Bhramari Pranayama, is a gentle yogic breathing practice where you inhale slowly through the nose and exhale with a soft humming sound like the buzz of a bee.

The vibration helps stimulate the vagus nerve and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, supporting relaxation, emotional balance, mental clarity, improved sleep, and an overall sense of grounding within the body.

Sometimes just a few mindful breaths can shift everything 🫶🏽
