Protective Styles That Are Perfect for Summer

Protective styles can help reduce daily manipulation—but not all styles are created equal.

Low-tension options include:
✔ Two-strand twists
✔ Loose braids
✔ Wigs with proper scalp care
✔ Flat twists
✔ Low manipulation updos

Avoid styles that:
1. Pull at your edges
2. Cause pain
3. Leave bumps around the hairline

If it hurts, it's too tight.
Protect your hair without sacrificing your hairline.

Did you know sweat itself isn't the problem?

The issue happens when sweat, oil, and product buildup remain on the scalp. This can contribute to:

• Itching
• Inflammation
• Flaking
• Weakened hair growth

Summer tip:
Wash or refresh your scalp regularly, especially if you exercise frequently.
Your scalp is living skin—it deserves care just like the rest of your body.
