Juju Conaway Hair
My goal is to create a cut and or color that is unique and funtional for each individual.
Everyone wants the highlight reel.
I want the behind-the-scenes.
The towel folding. The homework. The conversations. The quiet improvements no one notices until one day they do.
This season isn't about chasing bigger. It's about becoming better.
Because the businesses that last aren't built in a weekend...They're built one ordinary day at a time. ✨
Things I’ve stopped apologizing for 🙃
Needing rest.
Protecting my peace.
Taking a lunch break.
Going to bed early.
Not answering texts immediately.
Outgrowing people, places, and things that no longer align.
Changing my mind when I’ve learned new information.
Asking for help.
Needing alone time.
Not being everything to everyone.
Choosing my family.
Choosing my health.
I’ve spent a lot of my life trying to make sure everyone around me was comfortable.
These days, I’m learning that making everyone else comfortable at the expense of myself just isn't working and isn't worth the crash out.
And while I still care deeply about people, I’m learning that I can be loving without overextending
Kind without people-pleasing.
Generous without complete depletion.
Always a work in progress 😅
Walking by another salon in town like… 👀😂
All jokes aside, this town is way too small to be weird about competing with other salons.
Truth is, if we’re booked out, we’re probably sending clients to our friends at another salon. And if they’re slammed, hopefully they’re sending people our way too. That’s just how small-town business works.
We all have different strengths, different specialties, and different vibes. There’s room for all of us.
So yes, the dramatic walk-by is for the content. 🤣
But the support? That’s genuine
Shout out to for inviting us to collab on this! .gutierrezhair
Things I thought I'd have figured out by 39 😂
I genuinely thought adulthood would feel a lot more organized than this.
I thought by now I'd have mastered:
✨ Boundaries, while staying open (turns out this is a lifelong practice)
✨ Grocery shopping (every week feels like a surprise that my family expects dinner)
✨ Feeding and watering myself (how is this still difficult?)
✨ Keeping my car clean for more than 24 hours
✨ Not losing my phone at work
✨ Washing my sheets more often (its bad y’all)
✨ Asking for help without feeling guilty
✨ Not caring what people think
✨ Finding "balance"
Spoiler alert: I haven't mastered any of them 😂
What I HAVE learned is that growing older isn't about having everything figured out.
It's about becoming more comfortable with who you are.
It's knowing what matters and what doesn't.
It's giving yourself a little more grace.
And it's realizing that most of us are just doing the best we can while trying to remember where we left our coffee ☕️ and then warming it up for the 3rd time
Anyone else?
The older I get, the more I value..
🦋 peace over being right.
🦋 people pleasing
🦋the more I appreciate people who communicate directly and honestly.
🦋the more I realize boundaries aren't rejection, they're clarity.
🦋the more protective I am of my energy, my time, and the people I allow close to me.
🦋integrity is everything
🦋the more I understand that kindness and strength can exist in the same person.
🦋the more I realize that everyone is fighting a battle I know nothing about.
The older I get, the more grateful I become.
✨For ordinary days.
✨For family dinners.
✨For healthy kids.
✨For good conversations.
✨For work I still genuinely love after 20+ years.
✨For the people who choose to sit in my chair and trust me.
✨For the people who stay.
And maybe that's the biggest thing...
The older I get, the more I realize a good life isn't built from big moments.
It's built from thousands of small ones
you da best!! It's not everyday your client makes content like this for you 🫶🏼
I'm in my "life's a picnic and I'm lookin like a snack" era. Wait, I'm fixin to have 5 kids .. I'll deal with that later 😜
🗣️Listen up!!! New hair hack unlocked!!
We did the most today, we gave my daughter the hair of her dreams, we experimented with a new lightening technique and we got in some training with our newest Muse Stylist Bailey
Ok here is the deal... are you an all natural hair girly (I'm talking NO hair color in your hair) who would love soft/natural/low maintenance dimensional color? Just imagine 2 weeks on the beach when you were 10 kind of natural highlights...
Well I've discovered the cheat code... no bleach, no additional toning after lightening.. just raw, subtle lift with ZERO damage. I did this with clear and 10 vol 😯 and a little bit of heat.
Who's ready for that subtle glow up?!
