My beautiful relative Karen is getting ready to celebrate her birthday, and she wanted a fresh new look to step into this next year of life.

What I love most about this cut is that everything you see is Karen’s natural texture. Her hair was air-dried after the cut, with undercutting used to break apart the shape and allow her natural movement to take over.

For the color, we patterned pink and purple panels within the textured lengths, allowing flashes of color to appear differently depending on how her hair falls.

Fun. Artistic. A little unexpected. And completely Karen.
