One thing about a bleach and tone… I’m going to take my time

I get a little lost in the details with these appointments. The tiny sections, the careful placement, making sure I’m not overlapping lightener onto hair that’s already blonde. It all takes patience, but getting an even result while protecting your hair is worth it to me.

My weekly recap

I’m finding my rhythm as a new mom, and it’s surprised me in the best way.

Over the years, I’ve listened to so many moms talk about losing their sense of self and struggling to make time for themselves. For a long time, I was afraid motherhood would feel that way for me, too.

What I didn’t expect was to feel more well rounded than ever. I want my daughter to grow up knowing she can have a fulfilling career, a family, and hobbies that are just for her. For me, that hobby is pottery (at least until my ADHD picks a new hyperfixation 😅). For her, it can be anything she loves.

And I want that for every woman, whether she has children or not. We all deserve a life that brings us joy

That’s part of what I hope you feel when you sit in my chair: time to focus on yourself, hair that makes you feel like you, and a conversation that goes a little deeper than “What are we doing today?”
