I’ve had this conversation more times than I can count. Someone comes in frustrated, convinced their Botox “just doesn’t work on them” or that it’s wearing off faster than it should. And almost every time, there’s a real reason behind it.

Here’s what I actually see in practice:

You exercised right after. Working out within 24 hours increases blood flow and can move product before it’s fully settled. I know it’s hard to skip a workout, but this one matters.

You have a fast metabolism. High-intensity athletes and people with naturally faster metabolisms break down neurotoxin quicker. It’s not in your head, it’s in your biology. Your dosing or frequency may just need to reflect that.

Your dose wasn’t dialed in yet. First treatments are often conservative, which is the right call. But if your muscles are strong and the dose is too light, you’ll feel it wearing off early. This is something we adjust over time.
