To be honest, I think it is going to be difficult for me to feel like my work actually matters in the grand scheme for a while. But I believe that it does, more than ever. My client has been drawing their eyebrows on this way for years and years, and it was time to make their routine a little easier with permanent makeup via Nano Combo Brows!

Getting to our final shape, as with most cosmetic tattoos, was a building process that took more than one appointment, hence the magical hair change time jump!

We chose a shape that fits their personal style and unique beauty, but it is carefully mapped so that if they ever want to update to a standard brow shape with makeup or a future brow tattoo, that is achievable!

They also had healing freckle tattoos from another artist in the first clip, but my client tends to heal light so I added some extra cuties at our last appointment. ✨️

These brows may not be for everyone, but that's the point! They aren't! Every tattoo I do is customized individually for my client. ✨️Gender-Affirming Ar**la Restoratiom Scar Camouflage Tattoo✨️

My client wanted to address scarring and pigment loss due to tissue necrosis of the ar**la grafts after a Gender-Affirming Top Surgery Mastectomy.

For this initial session, we focused on restoring shape, symmetry and even pigmentation to the ar**las and ni***es.

The client had been told by their surgeon that pigment loss after this procedure is often normal and temporary, which is true! Ar**la grafts frequently go through a "sloughing" stage during healing, where the top layer of skin scabs and falls off, leaving the ar**la pale and pink until the skin fully heals and pigmentation returns. This is actually very similar to the "exfoliation" and "ghosting" stages of healing that many cosmetic tattoos go through! Ar**la Grafts and Top Surgery scars take up to a year or more before they reach the final stages of healing, and it may take as long for the color to return. Tattooing should not be attempted prior to final healing.

However, my client had reached final healing, and the pigmentation had not returned. This is because the graft tissue had actually experienced necrosis, which means some of the tissue did not survive the grafting process, and the damage extended into the layer of skin where the Melanocytes (the cells responsible for skin color) live. Because those cells were destroyed, the resulting pigment loss is permanent. It can be difficult to discern normal sloughing from necrosis, and it can be difficult to tell temporary hypopigmentation from permanent until the skin is fully healed, so patients often just have to wait and see.

There is no way to restore the natural skin pigmentation of hypopigmented scars. The good news is, if you do experience any scarring, assymetry, or pigment loss after your Ar**la Graft, Paramedical Tattooing can successfully restore the appearance.

These tattoos can look warm-toned and a bit solid fresh, but heal much softer and more neutural-toned to blend with the client's pigmentation and anatomy.

All cosmetic tattooing is a multi-step process, and Scar Camouflage may require several sessions to achieve optimal results, but it is extremely effective!
