Owner - ANVIL Bodyworks LLC
LMT, MPS, ISSA Elite Trainer & Transformation Coach
Welcome to ANVIL Bodyworks, where we share in your transformative journey to health and wellness. From a passion cultivated since childhood, Chris has evolved into a Licensed Massage Therapist/Bodyworker, specializing in breath and bodywork for both physical and mental well-being. His personal journey, from embracing a misguided approach to self-care to a life-changing realization in 2017, forms the foundation of his mission and sparked a commitment to share the power of self-care with others. With a background in martial arts, including 20+ years as a defensive tactics instructor, Chris draws parallels between the precision of a samurai sword and the need for individuals to be sharp and strong. As a Massage Therapist/Bodyworker, Chris employs therapeutic, spa, athletic, and deep tissue modalities, along with acupressure techniques, to eliminate waste, reduce stress, and enhance flexibility. At ANVIL Bodyworks, Chris's philosophy centers on each client being a 'precision instrument' requiring professional 'tuning.' A commitment to providing productive sessions with included tools, such as aromatherapeutic essential oils, hot packs, hot stones, cupping, and the Dolphin MPS, defines the ANVIL experience. Chris encourages clients to adopt a ‘healthy self-interest’ and to expect ‘more’ from their massage, emphasizing that recuperation and rejuvenation are necessities, not luxuries. Chris is dedicated to helping individuals minimize unseen stress, take time to breathe, and stay sharp. At ANVIL Bodyworks, the mission is clear—apply exacting pressure through bodywork to remove impurities and help clients get back to 'doing what they do,' taking care of those who depend on them. Self-care is not just a concept; it's a commitment to equipping individuals to take care of themselves so they can better care for others. Expect more, experience more, and embark on a journey of wellness with Chris at ANVIL Bodyworks. Additionally, Chris is a certified ISSA Elite Trainer and has been active in the health and wellness space for over 25 years. An Army Veteran, former Supervisor with the Colorado Department of Corrections, and DoD contractor; Chris continually strives to strike harmony between the week and the weekend enjoying motorcycling, hiking, fishing, reading, and photography.
Have you ever noticed your shoulders creeping toward your ears after a stressful week?
Or your jaw feeling sore without realizing you've been clenching your teeth?
Stress has a way of showing up physically.
Neck tension.
Headaches.
Low back discomfort.
Tight hips.
Shallow breathing.
Your body isn't failing.
It's adapting.
The good news is that your body can also learn to let go.
Intentional movement, quality sleep, mindful breathing, and therapeutic bodywork all help remind the nervous system that it's okay to relax again.
Healing isn't just physical.
Sometimes it starts by giving your body permission to exhale.
Here's something you can do today—right now.
Take one slow breath in for four seconds.
Hold for four.
Exhale slowly for six.
Repeat five times.
When we slow our breathing, we send a signal to the nervous system that it's safe to relax.
Heart rate slows.
Muscles begin to soften.
The mind becomes quieter.
Bodywork works best when your nervous system feels safe enough to let go.
So before your next meeting...
Before you pick up the kids...
Before bed tonight...
Pause.
Breathe.
Smile.
Your body will thank you.
One of the questions I hear most is,
"What kind of massage do you do?"
The honest answer?
It depends on you.
Every person who walks through my door arrives with different goals, different movement patterns, different injuries, different stress, and different life experiences.
That's why I don't believe in cookie-cutter sessions.
Your appointment may include deep tissue techniques, myofascial work, trigger point therapy, stretching, cupping, heat, or nervous system regulation—all chosen intentionally for what your body needs that day.
You're not paying for a list of techniques.
You're investing in personalized care.
Because your body deserves more than a routine.
It deserves attention.
We often think strength means pushing through.
Working another shift.
Skipping another day of rest.
Ignoring another ache.
Real strength sometimes looks much quieter.
It looks like paying attention.
It looks like asking for help before pain becomes an injury.
It looks like choosing recovery so you can keep doing what you love.
Your body is your greatest tool.
Treat it like one.
Somewhere along the way, many of us started believing we have to "push through" pain, stress, exhaustion, and tight muscles before we've earned a chance to slow down.
But recovery isn't a reward for working hard.
It's part of how we continue showing up for the people who depend on us.
Whether you're a parent, teacher, nurse, first responder, business owner, or someone simply trying to keep up with life, your body is working for you every single day.
Taking care of it isn't selfish.
It's responsible.
At ANVIL Bodyworks, every session is designed around what your body needs that day—not a routine, not a checklist, but individualized care that helps you move better, recover more fully, and return to your life feeling more like yourself.
Your body has carried you this far.
Maybe it's time to return the favor.
Breathe. Smile. Recover.

I never imagined this.
