I recently had a new client ask me this question, and honestly, I completely understand why. When youโre trusting someone with a wax service, you want to know youโre in good hands.
My esthetics journey began in Hinesville, Georgia, where many of my very first clients were African-American women who trusted me as I learned and grew in this industry. Those experiences helped shape the waxer I am today.
While we were still in Georgia, some clients literally took the time to find out where I had moved after leaving a previous employer so they could continue seeing me. A number of those clients were African-American women who trusted me time and time again. That trust has never been something I take for granted.
I am forever a student - Iโve continued to learn from other professionals, from amazing mentors, refined my techniques, and gained experience working with a variety of hair textures and skin types. Every client is unique, and every service is customized to their needs.
The truth is Iโm a Filipina. But my ability to provide a comfortable, effective, and professional wax experience isnโt determined by my ethnicity โitโs determined by my training, experience, and genuine care for the people who is on my table.
My treatment room is a safe space for women from all backgrounds. My goal is simple: for every client to feel comfortable, cared for, and confident when they leave.
