Your reactions are never about today, you’ve been holding it together trying to survive for many decades. Your body remembers the age it had to be quiet, the age when it wasn’t safe to cry, rest, talk about your needs. Before the shame that holds you in a negative mindset. The other day I notified a gentleman much older than me he couldn’t smoke in an area that my family and I were hosting an event. I said it confidently without a stutter or shake in my voice or rhythm. Years ago, I would have cowered, the anxiety rising and me repeatedly making up scenarios to shrink. Not anymore.

My daughter says “no” to me and I welcome it. She is learning her needs and if she doesn’t want a hug or talk that’s fine. I’m teaching her voice is powerful in all spaces and stages, that starts at home.

I’m taking risks in business hired a business coach and creating more structure and systems.

This is building HER Out Lous it starts with me believing I’m worthy of more.

Building HER Out Loud

It looks like confronting what you’ve run to that hasn’t been good for you, just go to you. Think about it. You’re with that person because it gives you something, yet you never feel, seen, heard safe.

You had to perform “love” so all you know is being with people and scared of being with yourself. Now your nervous system is dependent on people to feel “safe.” It’s time to learn you can be safe with yourself.

Start with 5 mins a day
- What went well today? What brought me joy a smile?
- What bothered me today?
- What could I have done differently?
- How can I show up for myself more?

When you feel like you have to show up a certain way (performing) because history has shown that’s how people see you. What about how you see yourself? What are your wants and needs?

Building trust with yourself starts with repetition. It doesn’t happen when it’s simple it starts under distress. When you choose yourself because you’re emotionally exhausted by their to do list. When the old ways says shrink and you don’t.
