With respect to Beautycounter, a friend introduced me to it 2013. I ordered some individual products: eye cream, lip balm, & rosewater spray to support her. I loved these products, but had been using Dermalogica skincare for 15+ years, because it had been the only skincare line that didn't irritate my skin so I wasn't ready to commit to another skincare line. I was very impressed with BeautyCounte
r's commitment to using healthy ingredients, which I learned more about when they came to lobby for safer skincare products while I was working Capitol Hill. At that time, my mom was in end-stage renal failure and I could appreciate any business working to keep toxins off of our skin and out of our bodies. Between a high-stress job and my mother's declining health, my skin was exhibiting the effects. This product line made was not only good for my skin, but it made me feel like I was treating myself to something luxurious every morning before starting my long day. It was also close to 1/2 the price of Dermalogica, which was an extra added bonus. Since that i've successfully substituted my longtime skincare regimen with Beautycounter. I love skin care, and what I love about Beautycounter’s skincare is that it is safe, customizable, and that from my experience, it works.
