I started doing these as a challenge for myself and I have to say, my timing and abilities have skyrocketed!

What used to take me 6 hours now takes me 1.5-2

And I fully believe pushing myself to do these strips is to thank.

It’s terrifying at first but now it’s fun.

I’ve finally gotten comfortable enough to talk/teach while making a huge strip like this.

What can I say

I can’t lie

My blood pressure definitely shot up at the comment.

And there are many times when getting comments like these that I clap back or respond.

But this particular comment stayed in the back of my head.

Am I A terrible mom!?

How could I have been so misunderstood?

What did I do to give anyone the idea that I could ever HATE my own daughter!?

And then it hit me - all this worrying, it’s very deeply rooted for me.

I desperately want to be understood, and I truly try to leave a positive impact on people.

Does that mean I am perfect in my attempt?

Absolutely not, I’m human and make mistakes.

But I cannot, and will never be able to control what others perceive.

That HURTS.

It hurts because of my own past experiences.

Being a kid who never fit in.

Being a kid who had half a family turn away from me and never look back because they didn’t believe me when I said I was being abused.

THATS why it stings so much for me.

And to think about that, I then have to think about the person leaving the terrible comment.

What happened to her to shape her?

When I can get outside of myself and think in this way, I have a lot more empathy.

Doesn’t make it right, but it does make it sting less. 🫶🏻
