Nobody tells you that vacation doesn’t turn off the dad brain.

You’re sitting in a beautiful place and your mind is still running the numbers. Do we have enough? Are the kids even grateful for this? I’ve got a mountain of work waiting when I get back. College is coming. Weddings after that. Retirement someday. And don’t even get me started on gas prices.

The weight of providing never takes a day off. But neither do we.

Enjoy the vacation anyway dads. You earned it.
