We’re sad to say that the Kindness Cabinet will be permanently removed from Hamilton Day Spa. This is what it looked like this morning.
We started this cabinet with one simple intention: to put a little kindness into our community. No questions asked. Take what you need. Leave what you can.
Unfortunately, it has become something we can no longer safely maintain.
We fill it, and within 24 hours it is often completely emptied. We’ve dealt with people becoming upset when there isn’t enough available. Last week, someone even stole the k***s off the cabinet and we still repaired what we could and filled it again.
Today, we came to work and found it like this.
At this point, for the safety of our business, our team, and our property, we’ve made the difficult decision to remove it permanently.
To every single person who donated food, toiletries, money, time, or supplies over the last year: THANK YOU. Please know your generosity mattered. The behavior of a few does not erase the kindness of so many.
We still believe in helping our community, and we aren’t going to stop. Moving forward, we’ll organize food and supply drives and donate directly to local organizations that have systems in place to distribute those items safely and fairly.
We really did just want to contribute something positive to our community.
It’s incredibly disappointing that this is how it had to end.

And because I know someone is thinking it, yes, we filled it again after someone stole the freaking k***s. We really tried. Some people just suck.
EDIT: this is not a post that needs to be shared. I understand that we love to share negative s**t over sharing positive things. I would much rather you share all the positive things that come from our business. We aren’t trying to find who did this. I hate negativity with every bit of my soul. If you know me, you know this.

NECK, SHOULDERS & CHEST SHOULD NEVER BE AN ADD-ON IN FACIAL MASSAGE OR FACIAL SCULPTING.
They are part of the treatment.
Your face doesn’t function in isolation.
Tension through the neck, shoulders, and chest can influence the fascia and muscles connected to the jaw and face. When these areas are tight and restricted, it can contribute to tension patterns that affect how the face feels and moves.
That’s why I start below the face.
Before I ask the facial muscles to soften, release, or move differently, I work through the structures supporting them—creating more mobility through the neck and jaw and preparing the facial tissues for intentional sculpting.
You can’t fully address the face while ignoring everything it’s connected to.
