Problem is, unless you’re a cosmetic chemist, it is a massive time suck to actually sift through ingredient lists and know what’s what 🤔
Even if you find a brand that’s as clean as it claims, you’ve probably dealt with subpar results, inaccessible prices, and wasteful plastic packaging that will just end up in a landfill 👎
Beyond that, there are more landmines when it comes to choosing a business to support. Voting with your 💵 is a real thing, and 2020 showed us the number of brands that are openly bigoted or who would prefer to remain silent on important social justice issues. In the wellness world specifically, there is no shortage of brands spewing dangerous conspiracy theories and anti-science rhetoric 🤢 Gross. My own disillusionment with the clean beauty world is exactly why I created Bright Body – a line of ✨ truly nontoxic and eco-friendly ✨ beauty products that work. I live with multiple chronic illnesses and couldn't find a brand out there that checked all my boxes for ingredient quality, performance, eco-friendly packaging, accessible pricing, and alignment with my progressive values. I spent years learning cosmetic chemistry 🤓 and developing our line. I’m proud of our truly nontoxic products made with only EWG safest-rated ingredients and packaged in refillable glass and aluminum.
