What a day, Soapies! 🧼

After two really difficult weekends with the weather, today was exactly what we needed! We can’t thank everyone enough who came out to support us at the farmers markets, Sinkland Farms and the shop. It means more than you know!

We do have one little change of plans for tomorrow. Unfortunately, we won’t be at the Dog Bowl Market at Black Dog Salvage 😔

The last two weekends of rainouts left us unable to order the supplies we needed to keep production going, and after today’s fantastic turnout, we simply don’t have enough inventory of some items to split between events + the shop tomorrow.

We’re so grateful for a wonderful day, even if it puts us in a bit of a bind! We will still be at Sinkland Farms tomorrow from 10a–5p, and we hope you’ll show the makers at Dog Bowl some love, too. 🐾

This has been one of our toughest years since starting Sun & Spruce, and days like today remind us just how much our community means to us. Thank you for continuing to show up for our little business. 🧡🫧

We are all set up at the Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Festival today from 10a–5p for another full day of fall on the farm!

There’s plenty to make a day of it: pumpkins, the corn maze, hayrides, live music, activities for the kids, local makers, food + all the things we love about October at Sinkland. 🍁

We are SO sad to see so many small businesses closing this week. Two (edit to THREE oh em gee just saw the other! 😩) of our favorite restaurants, a handful of makers we’ve known through years of craft shows & IG friends we’ve made over the years

It’s heartbreaking, especially knowing how many others are quietly struggling to keep their doors open. After having to close our downtown location earlier this year, we know that heartbreak ALL too well. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

We know the economy is hard on everyone, & nobody should feel guilty for putting their family’s needs first. I wish more people understood how much consistent support it takes to keep a small business going. It’s not one busy weekend or a successful holiday season. It’s the everyday purchases & word of mouth that help keep those dreams alive.

Behind every small business is someone who took a chance on a dream, & watching those dreams come to an end is devastating.

When you’re able, PLEASE choose local if you can. These businesses, their families, + the communities they’ve helped build are worth keeping around. ❤️

& thank you to our tribe + Soapies, bc we wouldn’t be okay without y’all! We have ridden many rollers coasters in our 6+ years, including the struggle bus that 2026 has been. I appreciate anyone who has read this far. I know many of yall already do this but you know it was on our hearts & I had to.
