👀 Your eyes tell the story of your skin! Dehydration, dryness, lack of sleep, and signs of aging often show up around the eye area first.

Since the eye area skin is thinner and more delicate, don’t skip it in your skincare routine! ✨ Adding an eye mask can give the area an extra boost of hydration while helping improve the look of puffiness, fine lines, and tired-looking eyes.

Take care of your eyes—they’re part of your skincare routine too! 💛

For young athletes, recovery is just as important as practice and game day. Parents can keep it simple:

* 💧 Hydrate early and often: Encourage water throughout the day—not just during practice. After long, sweaty sessions, an electrolyte drink may help replace fluids and sodium.
* 🍗 Refuel after activity: Within a couple of hours, offer a meal or snack with carbohydrates + protein, such as Greek yogurt and fruit, a turkey sandwich, chocolate milk, or a smoothie.
* 😴 Prioritize sleep: Growing athletes need plenty of sleep for muscle recovery, energy, concentration, and performance. School-age kids generally need 9–12 hours, while teens need 8–10 hours.
* 🧘🏽 Make recovery days normal: Young athletes don’t need to train hard every day. Build in lighter days and time away from organized sports.
* 🤸🏽 Keep stretching gentle: A short cool-down, easy walking, mobility work, and comfortable stretching can help them transition out of intense activity.
* 🛁 Use simple comfort measures: A warm bath or shower can feel great for tired muscles. Massage or gentle foam rolling can also be relaxing—it shouldn’t hurt.
* 👟 Pay attention to shoes and equipment: Properly fitting footwear and sport-specific gear can reduce unnecessary stress on a growing body.
* 🗣️ Listen when they say something hurts: Persistent pain, swelling, limping, weakness, or pain that changes how they play shouldn’t be treated as normal soreness. Give them rest and have them evaluated when appropriate.
* ❤️ Protect their mental recovery too: Kids need downtime to simply be kids. Avoid making every conversation about performance, wins, or improvement.

A great parent reminder is: Hydrate. Refuel. Rest. Recover. Repeat.

💪🏽 SORE MUSCLES? TRY AN EPSOM SALT SOAK! 🛁

After a tough workout, run, or training session, an Epsom salt bath can be a relaxing addition to your recovery routine.

✨ Helps ease muscle soreness & stiffness
✨ Warm water encourages circulation
✨ Relaxes tight, overworked muscles
✨ Promotes relaxation & better rest
✨ Pairs perfectly with massage & stretching

Recovery Tip: Add 1–2 cups of Epsom salt to a warm bath and soak for 15–20 minutes. Hydrate afterward! 💧

While Epsom salt contains magnesium, the biggest recovery benefit may actually come from the warm-water soak itself.

Train hard. Recover intentionally. Your muscles need both. 💪🏽

Who else finds creative ways to get their daily protein in? 💪🏽

As a Licensed Massage Therapist, I’m constantly using my body and energy throughout the day, so protein-packed snacks help me stay fueled between clients!

I found this Pumpkin Pie Milk at the Dutch Market, and I have to say… it’s actually REALLY good! 🎃🥛😋 A fun seasonal way to sneak in a little extra protein.

Whether it’s protein shakes, Greek yogurt, eggs, nuts, cottage cheese, or something completely unexpected—I’m always looking for new ideas.

What are some of your favorite ways to get your protein in throughout the day? Drop yours in the comments! 👇🏽

The comments about Jasmine Guy’s appearance are proving one thing: we STILL don’t allow women to age. 🙄

Everyone is dissecting how Jasmine Guy looks 30+ years later… meanwhile, Kadeem Hardison has gotten a little fluffier and puffier too, and somehow THAT’S just called aging. 👀😂

Why are women expected to look exactly the same as they did in their 20s and 30s, while men are simply allowed to get older?

Jasmine Guy is aging. Kadeem Hardison is aging. WE’RE ALL AGING. And that’s a privilege. 👏🏽

Can we normalize letting women age without turning their faces and bodies into a public critique?

The double standard is LOUD.

Cheers to a summer filled with new adventures, stepping outside my comfort zone, and trying new ways to relax, have fun, and support my personal wellness. ☀️✨

This summer, I tried country line dancing 🤠 and even candy sushi making 🍣🍬—both firsts for me!

As summer comes to an end and fall officially begins tomorrow, I’m carrying that same energy into the new season. 🍂 A new season is a great reminder that we’re never too old, too busy, or too comfortable to try something NEW.

Your fall wellness challenge: Try something you’ve never done before. Take the class. Book the trip. Start the hobby. Just TRY. ✨

What’s one NEW thing you want to do this fall? 👇🏽
