Especially in the day and age of AI and unchecked tech, Narrative Resistance is being intentional about our lived experiences and our history to counter the dominant tales of our lives.

Desensitization is real. Things that would have shocked us years ago barely move us because of the attempts to dehumanize that person or group. Nothing reduces your humanity or your worth. What kind of world are we helping create through our choices and what we accept without question?

When something wrong goes unchallenged for long enough, people can start treating it like it's just part of life. Having commons diseases at certain ages, having widespread corruption in a system, widespread pollution in the name of the economy.

Ultimately, when things are normalized, we stay quiet, the behavior continues, and over time it starts to feel a natural part of our existence. Before long, things that would have shocked us years ago barely get a reaction.

What kind of world are we helping create through our choices and what we accept without question? What if staying silent isn't really neutral? What if it shapes the culture and systems around us, and feeds into the results we have that we don't want?

Grease, hair oils, lotions are not beauty products but essentials for the skin and hair of most Black community members. Unfortunately, despite Black people being overwhelmingly represented in the unhoused population, these basic needs aren't always available in shelters or in distributions.
This was one of the health equity issues CLAP proposed at the legislatures at Black Health Equity Advocacy Week and will continue to amplify. We all falter in many ways but we have to come to terms that there are those desperate for control and social acceptance they coordinate chaos, division, with financial, social engineering, time resources to seed a network that the most vulnerable do not have nor would use. When the vulnerable individual or group speak up they are not believed. This can happen on a large scale or small scale or both with people who cannot survive without dynamics of dominance.
