Teeth By Dnash

this morning, the vampire community lost one of its pillars.

to many of you, Maven Lore was a father and a friend. he was a creator of some of the finest art in our community. many of you wear his fangs and bear his sigil.

to me, he was..... my son? my padawan? my protegé? i've only ever trained three people, and shared with them every trick and secret i knew. Maven ended up teaching me some of the best things ever in return. i cannot take any credit for his success, regardless of how he kept reminding me how i "made him", but beyond crafting his first pair of fangs, he took that ball and ran.

beyond the community, Maven, as a human being, was my hero. this man, at the height of his prime, became a single father, and with singular purpose, raised his son to become an amazing human being in his own right. Maven, as all we humans can be, had his faults, but in this matter, i saw how selfless and committed he really was, and the fire that never slept.

today, he sleeps, and is at peace. the life he lived has earned him that peace. we mourn, and we remember, for without him, so many of us would not be who we are today.

in a short time, there will be a gathering. details will be provided community wide, and i urge everybody, from ALL houses, to open your doors, come outside, and lay down your differences.

it is true that this morning, the vampire community lost one of its pillars. but Maven Lore helped build this house, and it is a Great house, and we all share a place under its roof.

i thank Maven for his friendship, his kindness, his collaborations, and his spirit. i am so honored to have called him my friend.

my heart goes out to his beloved son Maven, his partner April, and to his sister, brother, father, and mother for their loss. they, more than any of us, deserve our condolences.

i'll see you all in nola.

greetings folks, and happy new year!!!!
as if on cue, following my post yesterday, THIS gets unboxed.

when i tell you i am blessed, i'm not kidding.

this is 30 years. there will be many more, semi-retirement or not. 2025, however, may just have to be a party :-)

yes, Teeth By Dnash has been on a bit of a breather of late, but, to borrow a quote from a sub-cultural icon, "there's life in the old girl yet."

see you out there. in there. whatever....

happy holidays, folks!!! just a quick update.

while Teeth By Dnash is still a very active business, i'm no longer using social media as a platform for business communications. if you have any questions, wish to place an order, or book an in-person fitting, please do not hesitate to email me at [email protected]. thanks for your patience and i'll get back to you asap. :-)

and just like that, Halloween mail order was finished :-)
