This robotic appendectomy was completed with just 3 minutes of console time, using only 3 instruments and 1 instrument exchange.

After 43 robotic appendectomies, my average console time has continued to decrease — now performing well below both the U.S. average and the Top 10% benchmark shown by the robotic platform.

Technology is an incredible tool, but experience, technique, and continuous improvement are what allow us to maximize its potential.

HCA has approved Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty (ESG) coverage for eligible employees through its health insurance plans. 🙌

ESG is a minimally invasive, scarless weight-loss procedure performed entirely through the mouth using an endoscope:
