Eyelash extensions are completely weightless and when properly applied look and feel completely natural. You can choose for your lashes to be exaggerated and sexy or go for a more conservative, natural look. The extensions are synthetic and made of a single polyester fiber thread. The application includes applying one single, silky lash extension to each one of your own individual lashes. The proc
ess is very relaxing and pain-free. You will be lying down with your eyes closed so most clients enjoy a nap or listen to their own music (using an iPod, etc) during the procedure. Plan on spending 90 to 120 minutes of time for the initial application and 45 to 90 minutes for touch-ups. Are eyelash extensions safe? They are safe when applied by a properly trained professional. PROPERLY APPLIED eyelash extensions do not cause damage to natural lashes and are pain-free. The extensions are applied to the hair and not the skin, so chances of allergic reaction or irritation are minimal. How long do they last? As a natural part of the eyelash (hair) growth cycle, a person is continuously losing and re-growing new eyelashes, every 60-90 days. The extension should last as long as the natural growth cycle of each eyelash hair, which is why we recommend that our clients come in every few weeks for touch-ups to maintain existing lashes by removing any that are loose and by adding extensions to new hair growth. How do I care for my lash extensions? Minimally! Avoid water and steam on lashes for the first 24 hours after they are applied. Following the first day, you can shower, swim, work out - the extensions are totally waterproof. You should however avoid rubbing and pulling on lashes, also using eyelash curlers and oily makeup remover on your new lashes will shorten their life. Mascara is not necessary anymore, but ok to wear as long as it is water washable. You should not use waterproof mascara because it can disturb and weaken the adhesive bond of the lash extension.
