Ian and I just got back from a few days in Texas with my sister and her husband, and baby Jack! He’s 3 months old and she’s handling this transition into motherhood so beautifully. Postpartum is so real and doesn’t “end” after 6 weeks, there isn’t a timeline for this transition.

Instead of rushing women into “bouncing back”, let’s celebrate this time of rest, nourishment, struggle, happiness, joy, and everything in between. This was such a tender time to be welcomed into their home and we are so grateful to have witnessed the pure love that radiates into every space we occupied with the 3 of them.

This season of life looks different for everyone. One thing I noticed that really stuck with me, was their teamwork and ability to communicate so well. Together, as a team, they discussed changing routines- nap schedules, feeding time, who was taking what shift, and how they could be better every day at giving Jack everything he needs. They kept mentioning “it’s all about regulating his nervous system” and that made me beam!!!

What a special experience! I left feeling so full of gratitude to live this beautiful life. My sweet sister and her husband are doing an amazing job. She’s following her intuition first and foremost, and her husband does the same. ❤️
