Most people don’t avoid end-of-life planning because they don’t care.

They avoid it because it’s uncomfortable.

But planning ahead isn’t about expecting the worst.

It’s about making life a little easier for the people you love.

Having conversations about your wishes can reduce uncertainty, prevent unnecessary stress, and help families feel more confident when difficult decisions arise.

You don’t have to complete everything in one afternoon.

Start with one conversation.

One document.

One question.

One small step today can become a tremendous gift for someone you love tomorrow.

💚 Comment “DOULA” and I’ll send you information about my end-of-life planning resources directly to your DMs.

We often think recovery has to wait until vacation.

Or the weekend.

Or “when life slows down.”

But your nervous system doesn’t work that way.

Small moments of recovery throughout the day can help interrupt the cycle of constant stress before it builds into exhaustion.

Recovery can be as simple as:

Taking a short walk.

Stretching between meetings.

Sitting quietly for five minutes.

Drinking a glass of water without multitasking.

Taking one slow, intentional breath before moving to the next task.

Little moments add up.

You don’t have to wait until you’re burned out before you start taking care of yourself.

Sometimes we wait until we’re completely exhausted before we give ourselves permission to slow down.

The challenge is that our nervous system usually sends quieter signals first.

A tight jaw.

Stiff shoulders.

Shallow breathing.

Feeling impatient.

Trouble concentrating.

Those little signs aren’t failures—they’re invitations to pause before stress builds into burnout.

Today, see if you can give yourself one intentional minute.

Take a slow breath.

Stretch your shoulders.

Step outside.

Drink a glass of water.

Look up from your screen.

Small moments of recovery matter more than most people realize.

Your body doesn’t need perfection.

It needs consistency.

Many of us assume neck and shoulder tension comes from sitting too long or having poor posture.

Sometimes that’s true.

But many times, those tight muscles are also responding to stress.

When your nervous system stays in “go mode” all day, your muscles often stay slightly activated too. Over time, that can leave you feeling stiff, sore, and mentally exhausted.

The good news? You don’t have to overhaul your entire routine.

✔️ Stand up for two minutes.
✔️ Roll your shoulders.
✔️ Take three slow breaths.
✔️ Let your jaw relax.

Small changes, repeated consistently, can make a real difference.

Monday has a reputation for feeling rushed, overwhelming, and stressful—but it doesn’t have to start that way.

Your nervous system responds to the little things you do every day. Taking one slow breath before checking your phone, drinking a glass of water, stepping outside for a few minutes, or writing down one intention for the day may seem small, but those habits add up over time.

You don’t have to change your entire life overnight. Lasting wellness is usually built through small, consistent choices.

If you’re looking for an easy place to begin, I created a FREE Wellness Starter Kit with four printable guides to help you reduce stress, improve sleep, and build healthier daily habits.

Finding the right tool can make all the difference

Not every recovery tool is the right fit for every body.

Some people love deep pressure.

Others find that strong percussion or aggressive massage tools simply feel like too much.

That’s one of the reasons I became interested in Tend.

Instead of relying on heavy pressure, Tend uses targeted high-frequency vibration designed to provide a gentler option for people looking to support recovery, reduce everyday muscle tension, and feel more comfortable between massage sessions.

Whether you’re dealing with a stressful workweek, sore muscles after activity, or simply looking for another way to care for your body, it’s worth remembering that recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all.

The best tool is the one you’ll actually use consistently.

By Friday, many of us are running on momentum instead of energy.

We’ve answered the emails.

Checked the boxes.

Handled the responsibilities.

Solved the problems.

But before you rush into the weekend, take a moment to check in with yourself.

How does your body feel?

Where are you holding tension?

What would help you feel more rested before Monday arrives?

Recovery isn’t a reward for pushing yourself to the limit.

It’s part of staying healthy in the first place.

Even one small act of self-care today can make next week feel a little lighter.

Comment REST and I’ll send you some free wellness resources to help you unwind, recharge, and support your nervous system this weekend.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from working around serious illness, hospice care, and end-of-life support is this:

Most people don’t regret buying the wrong thing.

They don’t regret working out one less time.

They don’t regret having a messy house.

They regret the conversations they never had.

The things they never said.

The people they assumed would always be there.

The plans they thought they had more time to make.

None of us know exactly how much time we have.

But we do know that today is here.

So maybe this is your reminder to make the phone call.

Have the conversation.

Ask the question.

Say the thing that’s been sitting on your heart.

Life becomes more meaningful when we stop assuming there’s always more time.

When people think about cancer treatment, they often focus on the medical side of the journey.

But cancer affects much more than the physical body.

Sleep changes.

Energy changes.

Stress levels change.

Daily routines change.

Even the way your body experiences touch can change.

That’s why supportive care matters.

Oncology massage is not about fixing or curing anything.

It’s about creating a safe, adapted space that supports comfort, relaxation, and quality of life during and after treatment.

Every person’s experience is different.

Every session is individualized.

And every person deserves compassionate care that meets them where they are.

Many people assume burnout arrives as a dramatic breakdown.

But more often, it shows up quietly.

You stop feeling rested.

You lose motivation.

You feel overwhelmed by things that never used to bother you.

You begin running on survival mode instead of actually living.

Burnout isn’t a sign that you’re weak.

It’s often a sign that your nervous system has been carrying more than it was designed to carry for too long.

The good news?

Awareness is the first step.

The sooner you recognize the signs, the easier it becomes to make small changes before reaching a breaking point.

Which slide felt most familiar to you?
