The newest scent to be added to the Berkshire Bathery Gothic Scents catalogue is a bittersweet botanical elixir. The scent journey starts off a little gourmand latte with bitter black coffee and astringent lavender, but quickly turns into a dark and sexy cologne vibe with cedar, vetiver, and tonka bean grounding the blend.

This scent is to die for. Sweet white chocolate and earthy ceremonial matcha join together in chlorophyl matrimony, as jasmine and orange blossom petals walk them down the aisle. Damp moss and yerba mate give their blessing as the roots of this masterpiece, and the heavy neroli tops everything off with a devastatingly heady flourish.

Nourishing to many. Deadly to some.
Like the toxin for which it’s named, VENOM is not for everyone.
Sweet, wild honey is smoked on hot charcoals until it’s black with carbon soot.
Carelessly it is then poured onto an ashtray littered with ci******es, dripping over the edges and making a mess.
For good measure an expensive bottle of whiskey is smashed open on top of the heap, splashing sweet brown liquor all over the sticky, broken glass.
It’s a beautiful disaster. A pretty mess.
Now let’s light it on fire and roast some nutmeg and ginger on top - let it burn like incense.

Like the eponymous toxic plant, FOXGLOVE is to die for.
Dark, spicy rosewood is the heavy hitter, thorny and sharp, set against a backdrop of aromatic thyme, violet leaf, coriander, and cedar. Sweet morning dewdrops add a hint of atmosphere, along with soft tea rose, creamy vanilla, and crushed cedar twigs. Black ink accord and animalic ambergris add a sudden villainous overtone that feels both foreboding and mischievous.
It’s naughty, it’s nice, it’s (non)toxic and full of spice.
