Jacqui Garrison Health Coach
Holistic Health Coach for amazing Postmenopausal women who want to live life to its fullest!
At 55, I was exhausted, overweight, carrying stubborn belly fat—and diagnosed with osteoporosis.
I knew I didn’t want to spend the next 20 years trying to eat less, lose weight, and get my “old body” back.”
I wanted to be strong.
Energized.
Lean.
And healthy enough to fully enjoy my life.
So I did something about it.
I went back to school for health coaching, dug into the science, and created a 5-step, science-backed approach to getting strong, energized and lean after 50.
Then I started coaching women just like me.
I’ve now coached 100+ women, helping them lose stubborn weight, build strength, and feel more like themselves again.
Because getting healthy after 50 isn’t about getting younger.
It’s about having the health, strength and energy to live bigger.
Travel. Move. Explore. Dance. Wear the clothes in your closet. Say YES to the things you still want to do.
That’s my J.O.Y.
What do you want more of in the next 10, 20 or 30 years?
If getting strong, energized and lean is part of your answer…
comment AUDIT and I’ll show you where to start.
If you’re 50+ & you’ve spent years building a career, a family, a life most people would call successful — and the one thing that still won’t cooperate is your own body, you are not alone.
It’s not your fault. Your body changed the rules on you at 50, and nobody ever handed us a new playbook for it.
That woman you are, and always have been, is ready to get back to feeling like herself.
👉 Comment AUDIT and let’s talk
You’ve done hard things before.
Raised people.
Built things.
Held it all together for everyone but yourself.
Somewhere in there, you got put last on your own list — and “later” became the plan.
Here’s what I know after coaching over 150 women through this exact season: your body isn’t asking for permission anymore. It’s asking for you. Real food. Real strength. Real rest. Not another grind you white-knuckle through.
This next chapter isn’t about shrinking. It’s about showing up strong for the woman who’s shown up for everyone else.
Tag a woman who needs to see this today — the one who’s still waiting for “someday.”
And in the comments: tell me where you’ are in your health journey.
Are you starting to put yourself first, or is she still next on the list?
It’s your time, the right time has come.

Women over 50
You’d think by now I’d be immune to the “who’s going to take advice from a 66-year-old in yoga pants” voice in my head.
I am not. She still shows up. I hit post anyway.
Here’s the thing nobody tells you about coaching women through menopause and midlife when you’re in it yourself: you don’t get to be the polished expert on a pedestal.
You’re just... also doing the work. Also skipping the wine some nights. Also occasionally frustrated about the changes you see in the mirror every day.
I think that’s exactly why it works. I’m not coaching you from some finish line I crossed years ago. I’m doing this alongside you, one gray hair and one deadlift PR at a time.💪
Let’s do this!
Tell me your age in the comments — let’s normalize it. 👇

Starting over today? It’s Monday, after all.
Cut carbs, skip breakfast, get strict — I already know the plan. Here’s the problem: dieting after 50 is what’s making you fat in the first place.
Here’s what’s happening.
Restricting — cutting calories too low, skipping meals — reads to your body like a threat, not a plan.
That pushes you toward stress hormones that are well documented to favor storing fat centrally, right around your middle, while your body clings harder to what it’s already got.
Less food also means less muscle, which slows your metabolism even further.
So the same eating-less approach that used to move the scale stops working.
That’s not willpower.
That’s what restriction does to a body at this stage — and it’s exactly why so many women in menopause transition and beyond aren’t seeing anything on the scale, no matter how little you eat.
I’ve coached well over 100 women through this, and I have yet to meet one who was actually overeating. It’s almost always a lack of the right foods, not too much food.
Here’s the 5-part system I use with clients instead:
Nutrition: Eat balanced, nutrient-dense meals — protein, fiber, and healthy fat at every meal, with 6+ servings of colorful veggies or fruit daily.
Exercise: Move like it’s after 50, not 25 — strength training, 7K+ steps a day, SITs on the bike, rower, or elliptical, + plyometrics.
Stress: Manage the stress you’ve convinced yourself you don’t have. You have it. Daily.
Sleep: Protect your sleep like it’s your lifeline. Because it is.
Mindset: Watch what you’re saying to your body. It’s listening.
None of this is complicated. It’s just not ‘eat less, move more’ — because that advice was never built for a woman’s body after 45.

I’ll help you build a plan around your 50+ body — not a restriction plan built for someone half your age.
If you are over 50 & the scale is not budging, you don’t need another diet.
You need simple meals with enough protein and fiber to keep you full, support muscle, and make losing excess weight after 50 a whole lot easier.:
🥗 Mediterranean Chicken Quinoa Bowl
490 calories | 43g protein | 9g fiber
🌮 Southwest Chicken & Black Bean Bowl
500 calories | 44g protein | 14g fiber
🍤 Spicy Shrimp & Sweet Potato Bowl
485 calories | 40g protein | 11g fiber
🐟 Lemon Tuna & White Bean Bowl
475 calories | 42g protein | 11g fiber
🫐 Chicken Berry Crunch Bowl
455 calories | 40g protein | 10g fiber
🦃 Turkey Taco Bowl
480 calories | 42g protein | 13g fiber
🍗 Chicken, Lentil & Roasted Vegetable Bowl
465 calories | 46g protein | 15g fiber
The goal isn’t to eat perfectly.
It’s to have a few meals you genuinely enjoy that make it easier to stay consistent.
Protein. Fiber. Colorful plants. Foods you love that love you back.

Here’s how she went from doubting to doing ⬇️
1. We started with an audit, not a guess — three days of tracking so I could see exactly what was going on, not what she assumed.
2. Her protein went up, without cutting her calories to nothing.
3. Her workouts shifted from cardio to building muscle.
4. Her sleep got fixed — turns out that was quietly wrecking her cravings and recovery the whole time.
5. She dealt with the stress she didn’t want to admit she had.
90 days later: 2 pant sizes down, and a way of eating and moving she can keep doing
This is why my Audit is always step one, whether you work with me 1:1 or just want to know what needs your attention first..

How it works ⬇️
1.Audit what you’re doing NOW.
Before I change anything, I want to know what’s actually going on: your nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, habits and where your biggest opportunities are. No guessing.
2. Get your nutrition working for you.
Not another restrictive diet. We look at what needs to change to support fat loss and maintain muscle through menopause.
3.Prioritize the right movement.
You don’t need to spend your life doing cardio. We want to build and protect muscle while increasing the movement that supports your goals through a balanced plan.
4. Look at what’s happening outside the kitchen and gym.
Sleep and stress matter. If either is a mess, they can make hunger, cravings, recovery and consistency a whole lot harder.
5. Build something you can actually stick to.
Because losing weight is one thing. Not gaining it all back six months later is the real goal.
This is why my Audit is always step one, whether you work with me 1:1 or just want to know what needs your attention first.
