What you put on skin matters
@tiktokfairy23 (how healing my nervous system started this entrepreneurial journey)
Some days hit you out of nowhere.
One minute your baby is curled up on your chest, smelling like milk and sleep… and then somehow they’re 8 years old asking bigger questions, becoming their own little person right in front of you. 🥹
Today I talked with moms whose kids are getting driver’s permits, graduating high school, and heading off to college. Every single one of them said the same thing:
“It goes by faster than you could ever imagine.”
And suddenly that phrase everyone says stopped sounding cliché and started feeling painfully real.
We think we have forever with our children, but in reality we get about 18 summers. 18 Christmas mornings. 18 years of hearing little footsteps in the house before the world slowly starts calling them away.
That perspective has changed everything for me.
Homeschooling full time can absolutely be exhausting. Some days are loud, overstimulating, repetitive, messy, and nerve-wracking. But learning how to regulate my nervous system, slow down, rest, sleep better, and actually care for myself has given me the capacity to enjoy this season instead of just surviving it.
Because when you’re overwhelmed, motherhood can feel endless.
But when you pause long enough to really look…
it’s actually heartbreakingly short.
So tonight I’m holding my babies a little closer.
Saying yes to one more cuddle.
One more story.
One more “Mom, watch this.”
Because one day the house will be quieter.
And I already know I’ll miss the noise. 🤍

It’s strange how many people measure success only by income. Every time I say I’m trying to build my business instead of going back into full-time teaching, the response is almost always the same:
“But you’d make more money teaching.”
And maybe that’s true right now.
But what people don’t always understand is that after spending years pouring into other people’s children, I finally had my own babies… and something inside me shifted permanently.
I don’t want to spend the majority of my life exhausted, overstimulated, emotionally drained, and giving the best hours of my day away, only to come home and realize my own children are growing up without me fully there for it.
I know entrepreneurship isn’t the easier path. Some days it feels like trying to build a little wooden raft in the middle of the ocean with glitter glue and caffeine. 😅 It’s unstable, humbling, and honestly terrifying sometimes.
But freedom has value too.
Being able to have slow mornings with my kids.
Being present for the little moments.
Not missing milestones.
Not spending their childhood asking someone else for permission to attend it.
That matters to me more than a bigger paycheck right now.
I’m not lazy.
I’m not unmotivated.
I’m just redefining what wealth means for my life.
Because one day my children will grow up… and I know I will never regret the time I spent loving them while they were little. 🤍
Perfectionism almost had me in a chokehold before my business even took its first breath.
I was sitting on something special… and still scared to post because it wasn’t “perfect.” A whole CEO of Almost. 🫠
Plot twist: I regulate my nervous system. I’ve done the work. I have the tools.
But when big opportunities showed up? My body said, “Wait… are we safe?” 🚨
Because growth will do that.
Entrepreneurship held up a mirror I couldn’t ignore. It showed me:
You can be grounded and still get triggered.
You can be capable and still feel shaky.
You can be ready… and still doubt yourself.
And instead of shrinking, I leaned in.
Those big orders didn’t just grow my business.
They showed me where I still needed to grow.
Because this isn’t just about products.
It’s about becoming someone who believes they deserve success.
✨ A woman who doesn’t self-sabotage blessings
✨ A mom who breaks cycles in real time
✨ A founder who chooses integrity over shortcuts
And my “why”?
Tiny humans with big eyes watching everything I do.
My babies are the reason I keep going when my brain starts telling flop-era stories. 😂
They’re also why I refuse to put out anything halfway.
This brand is personal.
I was done with skincare full of hormone-disrupting, skin-irritating, unnecessary ingredients.
Especially after watching my own daughter struggle with eczema-like irritation.
So I made something better.
And it worked. 💛
No fluff. No fillers. No shortcuts.
Just clean, intentional skincare that actually cares.
Because profit will never come before people over here.
If you’re stuck in “not ready yet”… this is your sign.
You don’t need perfect.
You need to start.
Messy growth > perfect stagnation. Every time.
Now excuse me while I build a legacy between snack requests and tiny human negotiations. 🧃😂

POV: You chose a calm Easter egg hunt… and your nervous system said thank you.
This is your reminder that kids don’t need chaos to have magic.
They need space, safety, and a regulated adult to mirror.
When I slow down, they soften.
When the environment feels safe, they actually enjoy the moment.
No grabbing. No overwhelm. Just joy.
Also… how have I driven past Casa del Zorro so many times and had NO idea what was inside?? Hidden gem energy for real.
More calm moments. More intentional parenting. More nervous system peace for everyone 🧠✨
If your first instinct is to grind harder… try softening instead.
I just landed a major store order (cue the pressure 😅)
and instead of going into overdrive, I did something that feels illegal in hustle culture…
I regulated my nervous system.
I took my kids to a meditation garden, slowed down, touched the earth, watched the water, and let my body remember: I am safe.
Here’s the science behind why that works:
🌿 Nature exposure lowers cortisol
Studies show time in green environments reduces stress hormones, blood pressure, and mental fatigue.
🌊 Slow, repetitive visuals calm the brain
Watching water (like waves or fish) can shift your brain out of fight-or-flight and into a parasympathetic “rest and repair” state.
🧠 Meditation changes the brain
Regular mindfulness practices are linked to reduced amygdala activation (fear/stress center) and improved emotional regulation.
🌱 Grounding (earthing) may reduce inflammation + stress
Direct skin contact with the earth has been associated in studies with improved sleep, reduced pain, and lower stress markers.
👶 Co-regulation shapes your child’s nervous system
When you slow down, your kids’ bodies sync with yours. They don’t just hear calm… they learn calm.
Here’s the truth no one tells you:
Grinding is addictive.
Your nervous system can get hooked on stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline.
But rest?
Rest is repair.
Rest is where your body actually processes, heals, and builds capacity.
You don’t need a full life reset.
You need small, consistent moments of safety.
Go outside.
Take your shoes off.
Look at something that moves slowly.
Breathe like you’re not being chased.
Your body will remember what to do.
I walked into a local store to check on the shelves where my soap is sold… and I almost screamed when I saw how many bars were gone.
Most people don’t realize that a lot of big box “soap” is actually detergent based. Real soap is made with oils and butters that help cleanse without stripping your skin.
My bars are made with skin-loving ingredients like:
Kokum butter
Mango butter
Shea butter
Coconut oil
Jojoba oil
No harsh detergents.
No synthetic fragrance.
No nonsense ingredients.
Just real soap made the traditional way.
Seeing the shelf almost empty is the kind of small business moment that makes all the late nights worth it 🤍
