here are 3 fertility boosting summer drinks that are easy to make and can last you all summer long:
1. berry pomegranate smoothie 🫐🍓
packed with colorful berries and pomegranate, rich in antioxidants and protect cells from oxidative stress. Greek yogurt for protein, flaxseeds and chia seeds for plant-based omega-3s and fiber
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- ¼ 100% pomegranate juice
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or unsweetened soy yogurt)
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1 tsp chia seeds
- ½ banana
- ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
- ice
blend all together and enjoy!
2. tropical green cooler 🥝🍋🟩
full of leafy greens and fruit that provide folate, magnesium, potassium, and vitamin c
- 1 cup baby spinach
- ½ cup frozen mango
- ½ kiwi
- juice of ½ lime
- 1 tbsp h**p hearts
- ¾ cup coconut water
- ice
blend until creamy and enjoy!
3. iced matcha pistachio latte 🍵🧊
has antioxidants from matcha and pistachios and is a great afternoon pick me up (remember that most experts recommend keeping total caffeine intake below about 200 mg per day)
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 1 cup unsweetened oat or almond milk
- 1 tbsp pistachio butter (or 2 tablespoons shelled pistachios)
- tsp honey (optional)
- pinch of cinnamon
- ice
whisk the matcha with a little warm water until smooth, then blend with the remaining ingredients and pour over ice
