I've had so much to update y'all with since the end of May…

It's now July 7th as of writing this.

Wow, right?!

Why is May significant, you might wonder.

Well, May was the official 10 year anniversary of Salvage+Rescue, and honestly, I celebrated it with a ton of stress and exploring different options for a new location. Great news for all of us: we did not have to find a new location and are very much still here, right in our Santa Clara spot, thriving!

I've always felt immense gratitude for our space, but my heart has landed in it in a deeper way lately. This little end of May shake up birthed some magic, and I intend to share it with you spread out over the next few weeks, so I don't slam you with a long ass email.

Here's what you can expect to hear more about, because I love keeping it real with you:

✨ We've upgraded our seating/hang out area! There are still a few more details I'd love to add, but in time. For now, it feels warmer, cozier, and honestly just begging to be YAPPED in. I'm so excited for you to see it and feel it for yourself!

✨ Also, your experience at the studio is leveling up too. More on that very soon!

I said yes to an opportunity to be a vendor at a wellness fair and community gathering called Sonic Bloom on August 22nd in San Jose! Save the date, this one's going to be special, and I hope to see y'all there!

This is something I'm excited and nervous about. I'm putting myself "out there" in a way that pushes me outside of my comfort zone, but these last few years I've been letting purpose lead over fear, so here we are! I'll be creating a reflective, contemplative experience at my booth, plus selling Reiki infused candles made by MEEEEE!

Speaking of community… I had a realization. This studio is too good to keep all to myself. I've basically been hoarding good energy, and that's no way to run a community space.

So here's what's next: I've got a few open days each week, and I'm ready to fill them with someone who gets it, someone who'll walk in, feel the magic, and treat the space like their own.

I'm ready to sublease.

Salvage + Rescue is a healing studio offering ritual hair services, Reiki, hypnotherapy, and handcrafted Reiki-infused candles — all rooted in intentionality, reflection, and care.

Hi there!

My man's been on the road, driving through different parts of the country in different time zones, and we were joking about how time doesn't exist for him right now. Driving day and night. Hours ahead, hours synced. Honestly, I'm feeling like time doesn't exist for all of us right now! How is it mid-May?!

This past week or so has been a full one over here. Mother's Day, family in town, an early birthday celebration for my mom, and a personal candle order I was working on. (Did you know I make candles? Side passion that I love. It's really special actually, upcycled vessels, wooden wicks, coco-soy wax, essential oils, CBD, and Reiki infused.)

Mother's Day landed quietly powerful for me this year. The day holds so many layers, whether you celebrated, missed someone, mothered yourself or others, lost a child too soon, or are still longing for one. I hope however it showed up for you, you felt held in whatever way you needed.

I've also been deep in launch mode for the next round of Alignment, which opens Saturday, May 16th. My original plan for the launch... let's just say it's looking a little different than I'd imagined, but here we are! Still dedicated to it because I know how much it will help those who join this round.

In the middle of all of it, I realized I haven't reached out in a minute. So here's the gentle nudge: if there's anything I can hold for you right now, hair, energy work, or otherwise, I'd love to see you.

I'm sharing something with you that lives outside the chair, and I'm trusting you to receive it however it lands.

For years, I've been walking through a self-led practice called ALIGNMENT, a 45-day return to yourself across four pillars: Mind, Body, Heart, and Spirit. It's quiet, intentional work for anyone ready to come home to who they are underneath everything pulling at them.

I created it through my own devotion to it, refining it each time I moved through it. About a year ago, I started guiding others through it too.

I built this because I believe this kind of work is needed right now. We are living in a time that pulls us away from ourselves at every turn. Faster, louder, more, optimize, perform, produce. So many of us are running on patterns we didn't choose, exhausted from being everything except who we actually are. Alignment is the practice of coming back. Of softening the noise. Hi!

I came across this video through a coach I deeply respect, and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I wanted to pass it along because I think it speaks to what so many of us are moving through right now.

It's an astrology reading for this week by ReWilding with Sabrina Lynn, and even if astrology isn't your thing, the themes she maps out are worth sitting with.

Here's a quick summary of what she covers:

Monday & Tuesday are about getting grounded in reality. Less dreaming, more honest assessment of where you actually are and what's truly aligned versus what's ego-driven distraction. A good time to slow down and get tangible.

Wednesday & Thursday carry a different quality. More intuitive, more electric. She describes it as a lightning bolt moment for feminine intuition. You might feel buzzy or agitated. If so, that's not something to push through. That's something to channel through grounding, rest, or sacred space.

The weekend moves into deeper territory. Shadow work, releasing what we're still clinging to, and facing the fears that keep us looping in old patterns. Heavy, but potentially really clarifying.

What struck me personally is how much this mirrors what I've been sitting with. The pressure to just make things work while also being honest about what isn't working anymore. The push to stop performing stability and actually find it.

Has being in this space changed anything about how you see yourself, make decisions, or move through your life?

I’ll be honest, I didn’t really know what people would say.
As I started reading your responses, I had to pause.

“Yes, having more intention in what I do in my personal life and my business.”

“Love the confidence I feel in my look after a fresh cut!”

“I feel like I look at my hair differently, how has this hair been serving me, how do I honor its purpose in my life, and how can I let go when it is no longer serving me?”

“Yes! The reflection I do in your space, plus your insights, actually has made a significant change in me. A couple small concrete things, plus a big one: I opened myself.”

“Yes. Connection to intuition. Honoring what I need and what I am ready for.”

“Yes! Most of the salons I've visited have been about getting hair my stylist likes.
They haven't listened, or cared, about what I want. Salvage and Rescue feels authentic and safe; a place where my hair is prioritized as much as my overall wellness. Total vibration raising experience.”

“Every time I go I learn something about you and/or my life. It’s always transformative. Sometimes big sometimes small.”

Reading through all of this, I felt a lot. Gratitude, first. And also a kind of quiet awe. Because to read your words and see what this space has meant to you in your own lives… that touched me deeply.

I do not take it lightly.

The fact that you feel safe enough to open here, to reflect here, to say things out loud here, to reconnect with yourself here… that means more to me than I can fully put into words.

What’s been created here means a lot to me. And hearing what it has meant to you, in your own words, was deeply moving. So this is really just me saying thank you.
