I’m officially back from my short vacation and excited to be back behind the chair! I wanted to give everyone a quick heads-up that we are currently in the back-to-school rush, which means my schedule is extremely limited and I am nearly fully booked.

I also want to apologize in advance for any slower response times. I’ll do my very best to get back to everyone as soon as I can, but replies may take a little longer than usual during this busy season.

Faith has always been the foundation of my journey. Opening my own salon and stepping into this industry has been one of the biggest leaps of faith I’ve ever taken.

Last Tuesday, one of my sweet clients gave me this note, and I couldn’t help but get emotional reading it. One line especially stayed with me:

“May God bless you beyond measure as you grow in the Shear Joy of waiting on God.” 🤍

Seeing the words Shear Joy written in such a meaningful way reminded me why I chose that name for my salon. Growth doesn’t happen overnight. It takes patience, faith, perseverance, and trusting God’s timing even when the next step isn’t always clear.

I truly believe beauty starts from within. My hope is that every person who sits in my chair leaves feeling not only beautiful on the outside but also seen, encouraged, and confident in who God created them to be.

If I can be a small light in someone’s day, then I’m doing exactly what God has called me to do.

To every client who has trusted me with your curls, your color, your story, and your time thank you. Your support means more than you know, and I don’t take it for granted.

Curl Tip Thursday ✨

One of the biggest mistakes I see is touching curls before they’re completely dry.

I know it’s tempting but touching your curls while they’re drying can create frizz and break up your curl definition.

Let your products set, diffuse (or air dry), and then fluff at the roots once your hair is 100% dry.

Your curls will thank you. 🙏🏼
