Ask questions. Communicate clearly. Clarity is confidence.

Be Unoffendable.
Lately there is any number of things that can offend us, but know that you have given permission to be offended...it is a choice...exercise it.

Be curious instead.

There is no price that can be placed on the perspective gained from lived experience.

I attended the Microinterlock Extension Bootcamp as a collaborating instructor, but I left with the perspective of a student.

For years, I viewed loc extensions through the lens of my own philosophy around the loc journey. My focus has always been helping clients build a relationship with their natural hair, so I never spent much time exploring the extension side of our industry.

Then I sat in the student seat.

What I discovered wasn’t just a new technique—it was a deeper understanding of the problems extension specialists solve every day.

I learned how extensions can create solutions for clients experiencing thinning hair, provide opportunities for creative expression through color, and help restore or reinforce existing locs. More importantly, I gained insight into the unique needs of the locticians who provide these services.

Being immersed in this experience as both an instructor and a student offered me a fresh perspective on learning styles, communication styles, and human desire. It also helped me see the 3 C’s Framework in a new light.

Because whether a loctician specializes in traditional locs, microlocs, Sisterlocks, extensions, repairs, or restoration, the principles remain the same:

☀️Congruence — Aligning your services with your values and expertise.
☀️Capacity — Building systems that support sustainable growth.
☀️Compassion — Creating an experience that meets clients where they are.

This experience reinforced my vision for the Signature Loc Method Intensive and the Loc’d In System. My goal isn’t simply to teach techniques. It’s to help locticians become solution providers who can deliver a luxury client experience through clear frameworks, effective systems, and meaningful collaboration.

The more I learn from specialists in our industry, the better equipped I am to build resources that support them.
