A corner of the Plant Speak medicinal herb gardens. All of the plants shown here - yarrow, clary sage, honeysuckle + lavender - are immune protective, support mental wellness + benefit women’s reproductive health.
These plants give me hope. Their medicine is beautiful + life affirming + natural + powerful. Their medicine is as old as humanity + can help us remember how to be human again.
Herbalism is sovereign medicine. No matter who you are, if you are alive on planet earth, this is your ancestral medicine. Your heritage, your tradition + your responsibility. It’s time to acknowledge the deep inter-connectedness that we share with all of Nature, all of Creation. It may require some de-programming, un-learning and dismantling of what we believe, but the truth has always been there + waits patiently for us to find it.
Look to the plants.

Hiya folks, happy Saturday! Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself again for those of you who are new to this page.💚
First of all, thank you so much for following Plant Speak Apothecary! I say it all the time, but each like, follow, recommendation + purchase that we receive *truly* mean the world to us small businesses, so thank you for taking the time to support us.💚
My name is Isabel + I’m an herbalist + land steward in Santa Rosa, CA (Pomo, Wappo + Miwok Territory.) Before Plant Speak Apothecary, I was an acupuncturist + herbalist, but I left my clinical practice to focus on making herbal products + working hands-on with locally grown medicinal plants. Many of the herbs that we use in our apothecary line are grown here in our gardens + the rest are sourced from other local medicinal herb farmers.💚
In addition to using only organic +/or pesticide free, locally grown plant material, all of our product containers are recyclable glass, metal, or paper + we use only paper + cardboard packaging. It’s a long road to be a 100% green business, but we do our best to make environmentally sustainable choices whenever possible.💚
The name Plant Speak Apothecary was inspired by some of the insights + experiences I had while spending time with the plants + deepening my relationship with them. I learned to pay attention to the ways that plants communicate + generously share their wisdom + healing + I am grateful to be a student of the master teachers themselves.💚
That was a big mouthful, but mostly I just want to say THANKS again for taking the time to learn about Plant Speak Apothecary + you can find more info about us + all of our products in our online shop! 💚

Good afternoon from the Little Apothecary That Could!🚂
It still amazes me how this apothecary shop came to life + continues to grow + flourish. Of course, there are always hills to climb, but somehow it all keeps moving forward even at times when I don’t think I can.
Today is another gloriously rainy day, but as soon as it lets up, we’ll continue with the garden expansion project + by spring, even more of the herbs in our offerings will be grown right here!
Just an example of how sometimes in life, our path chooses us as much as we choose it. And that, if we stay open, things can end up much differently than we expected, but much better too.💚
